A man was standing upright inside a dark hall. Faint candle lights flickered around him, which made his face look very eerie.
Space suddenly started fluctuating violently as strong wind blew, making the man's robe flutter. After a while, a crisp cracking sound could be heard and space shattered like glass. Within the crack there was only darkness. It was like the maw of an abyss, even the gods and devils high above would be devoured all the same.
The dark hole continued to expand at a visible rate and the man watched everything silently without even a slight flinch.
Strange mists started to pour down from the it, filling the air with a pungent smell. Different noises kept coming from within. Sometime it was like ghosts whispering, sometime women's crying, sometime the lamenting cry of an entire era and sometime beasts howlings. If anyone else heard the sounds, they would go insane and their mind would explode.
Something moved, a movement could be heard within the darkness, the ground vibrated slightly along with it.
Suddenly, Two glaring ball of red light shone brightly as it lit up everything. It was huge, it was so huge that the world itself felt tiny in comparison.
No, it wasn't just two ball of light, it was a pair of eyes. A pair of eyes that could make everything in existence cower in fear. Just the pair of eyes exuded unparalleled aura, its aura alone could suppress anything beneath the heavens.
The pair of eyes glared at the tiny ant sized man in front. With just its slight movement, the ground shook like crazy. Even though more than ninety percent of it's aura was being blocked by a mysterious power even so, It's aura was so strong that the man felt he was like a small boat inside a stormy ocean, going against the raging currents. He trembled from head to toe and couldn't stand straight.
He prostrated on the ground hard as a spider web like crack appeared, and shouted in a hoarse voice.
"Your excellency, your humble servant is here." The man had a fanatical expression, with reverence in his eyes.
A heavy voice rang out, the language was unknown. Genders of the speaker couldn't be detected either, the voice was something indescribable and otherworldly as if it traveled since the beginning of time.
"I understand, the preparation is done, your excellency." The man said in a quivering voice.
The ancient voice rang out again and the two huge eye balls vanished again within the darkness as if it never existed. Darkness and the strange mists receded behind the space crack. Soon, the space crack vanished and everything returned to normal. Only after the space crack repaired itself, the man dared to stand up and took a long sigh. He stood alone inside the dark hall. Beneath the sleeves, his palms were still trembling in fear.
….
On the street, the burly man was still threatening and trying to curry favors from her senior sister.
Shao Huang didn't pay any mind to anything as he stood proudly. A servant came running and said something to him secretly which made Shao Huang raise his eyebrows.
"Are you sure?" Shao Huang asked in a stern voice.
"This servant wouldn't dare to lie, young lord." The servant swore quickly.
Shao Huang didn't ask anything else and looked at the girl beside him, she was still holding a sword, seemingly ready to strike at any moment.
"Junior sister Zhao Ning, you should be haste in dealing with matters like this." He said in a slow voice.
Hearing him, the girl's arrogant expression vanished. She smiled sweetly at him and spoke coquettishly. "Since senior brother said this, give me three breaths of time. I will end this matter quickly."
Shao Huang nodded and looked somewhere else.
The girl named Zhao Ning looked at the man who had bumped into her with a cold gaze.
"I planned to let you go with a small punishment but you made senior brother Shao Huang'a mood sour. Now, leave your head behind." As she said this, her sword flashed with sharp light. It erupted with strong sword Qi, aimed directly at the man's neck.
Just as the man was about to be decapitated, a clank sound was heard and the sword Qi was deflected.
A young girl in flowery robe stood infront, she held a saber in hand and gazed at Shao Huang's group proudly.
"Inner disciples from the Scattering wind sect bullying the innocents sure is not surprising." The newcomer girl said in a mocking tone.
Seeing her, Zhao Ning's face turned ugly as a pig.
"Mu Yan!" She greeted her teeth as she uttered. She couldn't hide the hatred in her eyes.
"If you are so capable then come fight me three hundred rounds instead of bullying others.
You don't seem to live up to the reputation of your great Zhao family." The girl named Mu Yan said with a grin which made Zhao Ning's face livid from anger.
Shao Huang walked over and touched Zhao Ning's shoulder. She instantly cooled down and moved away with a cold snort.
"Mu Yan what are you doing here?" Shao Huang asked in a indifferent tone.
"Do i have to tell you wherever i go?" Mu Yan's reply was very fierce. She turned around and looked at the victime spoke nicely. "You should stay from these people in the future."
Her words made Shao Huang's group's face turn red from anger. She was humiliating them in public. Who could tolerate this?
The man in question nodded his head and thanked her before leaving in a hurry.
"Sister Yan! Wait for me will you?" A young girl with a group of people following behind her came running.
"You don't need to shout so loud, i am not deaf. I can hear you." Mu Yan said.
"What are they doing here?" The newly arrived girl spoke as she looked at Shao Huang's group.
"Oh! Isn't this little Zhao? Are you here to buy rotten potatoes?" It didn't take long for her to notice Zhao Ning. She didn't miss the chance to mock her. The group behind her started laughing, it was very exaggerate.
"Mu Yun! Don't go too far." Zhao Ning shouted.
It seems the newly arrived girl's name was Mu Yun and she was Mu Yan's little sister, the same girl who Li Shenrong met back then.
