Chapter 3 - Locust sect.

Plain locust sect, Sacred mountain.

On the sacred mountain of plain locust sect, a middle aged man was sleeping peaceful while an old man stood behind him stroking his white beard.

"Sect leader, today is the day of recruitment. What will we do if no great talent appear?" The old man asked thoughtfully.

"We can only wait till we gain a bit of heavens favour."

The middle aged man sat upright and sighed.

"Even though our sect is strong and dominates a thousand mile we cannot go on forever without a proper successor." Old man expressed his worry shaking his head.

"Indeed, but i have a sudden feeling that this years recruitment will be different." Sect leader mused for a bit and replied.

"I hope that is the case."

The huge room turned silent again.

Along the way Jessi found a few people who also wanted to pass the recruitment test of Locust sect. She pried some information out of them but it was not that useful.

'Out of all the people i have met none of them are blessed with supernatural ability. They knows some basic martial arts skills but its not worth mentioning. Could it be i am the strongest person in this world? I wonder if people from locust sect are really powerful.'

Her thoughts wondered as she walked.

Ten days passed quickly and Jessi finally reached the foot of the locust sects mountain.

Jessi observed the guards who wore blue uniforms, in her eyes those guards looked very weak. She could slap them to death. When she first arrived in this world her body was extremely weak but slowly she regained her former superhuman strength but strangely she can not fly.

Locust sect didn't stop anyones entry, everyone was free to enter and leave the recruitment ground. Thousands of people flooded the gate, locust sect disciples managed to maintain discipline through saying. "Whoever makes extra noises will be thrown out of the mountain or be fed to wild beasts."

After this no one dared to move at all.

The disciple who was in charge of cultivation aptitude and talent testing brought out a huge mirror. The mirror looked very ancient and heavy with a golden frame. Numerous runes engraved on the golden frame which gave it a mysterious aura.

"One by one you will have to stand in front of the mirror and put your hand on the blue and red rune curved over here. Oh by the way this mirror is an ancient artifact personally created by the sect founder. Its name is Golden willow mirror. It can reveal your cultivation, cultivation talent and aptitude also your bone age. So no old rotten geezers can mix in with youngsters." The disciple in charge of testing explained loudly.

After hearing the explanation many people shrank their head and moved to the back.

Jessi found herself in a dilemma, what if she was exposed as an otherworldly human? Would she be hunted down?

A young man with square face walked in front of the mirror and rubbed his hand on the red rune.

"Cube face bastard ! Put your hand on the blue rune first." The disciple slapped the young mans hand and scolded harshly.

Others silently laughed at this.

The mirror showed no reaction to him.

"No cultivation, zero Aptitude, zero talent, Age 17."

The young man was extremely disappointed as he started cried loudly.

"Cube face ugly dog get out of here!" The disciple kicked the young man on the stomach and threw him out immediately.

Many sympathised with that young man but no one stepped up to help him.
