Six months later…
Gabriel stood outside the nursery door just out of sight of Megan. She usually became so involved in her children that he could watch them without her noticing. It gave him peace to see his wife content as she cared for their family.
It was hard to believe that it was only a little over a year ago that he had come to the human realm once again searching for his soulmate. Gabriel had little hope then that he would find her. Megan was so much more than he had ever dared hope for.
They had gone through tough times to get to where they were today, but every bit of the turmoil was worth it if it led him to his wife in the nursery with their three beautiful children. They were beautiful, even Sammy. Though he may not be his biological child, Gabriel loved him just as much. He was the Sam that Gabriel and Megan got to keep.
