Peter now stood at the top of the tallest building in New York, the World Trade Center in lower Manhattan. The city sprawled beneath him, a bustling, vibrant metropolis alive with activity. The sun was setting, casting a golden hue over the skyscrapers and turning the Hudson River into a ribbon of shimmering light.
"Here I go," Peter muttered to himself, his heart pounding in his chest.
"This is where everything begins."
With a deep breath, he spread his arms and leaped off the edge. The exhilarating rush of the wind hitting him through his mask filled him with a sense of freedom he'd never experienced before. As he fell, he could hear the roar of the wind around him, drowning out the distant sounds of the city below. The skyline blurred, and for a moment, it was just him and the sky.
After a minute of free-falling, he shot his webs in front of him, feeling the familiar tug as the webs caught. The momentum carried him across the streets of New York, making him scream in excitement.
"WOOOOOOO-HOOOOOOO!" Peter shouted, feeling the rush of swinging freely for the first time in this new life. The buildings whizzed past him, and he could see the people below, tiny specks looking up in astonishment.
People on the streets below had their mouths open in awe as they watched him swing through the city. Some tried to take pictures, but by the time they were ready, he was gone.
"HAHAHAHA! This is amazing!" he yelled, the wind pushing against his face, making his eyes water.
After swinging for a few minutes, Peter stopped and tapped his ear.
"Holiday, are you there?" he asked, panting slightly from the exhilaration.
The voice of a mature woman responded, "Always available to you, sir."
"The new voice suits you," Peter said, "It's less robotic. Anyway, check the police radar and guide me to any ongoing crimes."
Holiday replied, "Right away, sir."
After a few seconds, a map appeared in front of Peter's eyes, guiding him to where he needed to go.
"There's an ongoing police chase a few blocks ahead of you. There's also a fire nearby, so caution is advised," Holiday informed him.
"Got it," Peter said, picking up his pace. Swinging a few blocks ahead, he saw two police cars chasing a vehicle with three robbers. Two of them were sticking out of the windows, shooting their guns.
Peter swung toward the car, and when the police saw a guy swinging through the air, they were shocked.
Peter aimed his webs at the two guys sticking out of the windows, pulling them out of the car one at a time and disarming them. He then landed on the roof of the car.
"License and registration, please," Peter said jokingly.
The driver looked at him, pulled his gun, and was about to shoot, but Peter was too fast. He disarmed the driver by pulling the gun out of his hand with his webs. Peter then grabbed the driver and jumped out of the way with him. Once the car was empty, Peter zipped in front of it, spread out his arms and legs, and lifted it into the air, stopping all its momentum.
He then gently set the car down, dusted off his hands, and rounded up all the criminals, tying them up with his webs.
He heard a voice shout, "Freeze! Hands in the air!"
Peter turned to see two police cars that had stopped in front of him, with officers pointing their guns at him. Peter waved at them in fake excitement.
"Hey, officers! Good job out there. We sure do make a good team," he said, tapping his wrist as if pointing at a watch.
"I'd love to stay, but I have a busy schedule."
Peter shot his web at a nearby building and started swinging away.
"I'll see you guys later, and you're welcome for the gift from your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man!" he said, activating his stealth mode and disappearing.
The police officers looked at each other, unsure of what to make of the situation.
"What just happened?" one of them asked.
Another took off his cap and ran his fingers through his bald head.
"I think we just got help from a guy dressed as a spider," he said.
Another officer pointed at the criminals.
"What do we do with them?"
"Untie them from whatever that is and arrest them properly. Let's report back afterward," their captain said.
The officers nodded and got to work.

"Holiday, what's next?" Peter asked.
Holiday replied, "There is a fire west of your current location. Please head there immediately. I'm sending you the exact location."
Peter quickly arrived at the scene and landed on top of a fire truck that was trying to stop the blaze. Using his x-ray vision, he saw ten people trapped inside the building: two on the bottom floor, one on the second floor, three on the third, two on the fourth, and two more on the fifth.
Peter quickly ran toward the door, ignoring the firefighter captain's shouts.
"Who are you? Stop!"
But Peter didn't listen.
He burst into the building and saw fire everywhere, with wood falling from the ceiling. No wonder the firefighters couldn't get in.
Peter found a couple trapped under a log, screaming for help.
"Don't worry, I'm here to help," he reassured them, effortlessly lifting the log.
"Crawl out from under there."
The couple nodded and crawled out. Peter picked them up and said, "Hold on tight and don't let go. I don't know where you could be injured."
The couple clung to Peter as he shot two elastic webs toward a window and launched them outside, bypassing the fire quickly to avoid burning the civilians.
Peter gently laid them down on a soft bed the firefighters had prepared for emergencies.
"They were under rubble; they might be injured. Please check on them," he said before jumping back into the building.
One by one, he rescued all the residents. The last ones were two children hiding in a closet.
"I've got you. You're safe now," Peter reassured them, his voice gentle and soothing. He carried them out of the building, and a man and a woman ran up, wrapping their arms around their children.
"Thank you, thank you!" the woman sobbed, tears streaming down her face.
Peter smiled and nodded.
"Just doing what I can."
The firefighters looked on in shock and awe.
Their captain quickly snapped them back to reality.
"Check them, and the rest of you continue putting out the fire!"
Outside, people were recording everything on their phones. Kids looked at Peter in fascination. He smiled and ruffled one kid's hair.
"Stay safe, kid."
The firefighter captain approached Peter.
"Thank you for saving everyone," he said, shaking Peter's hand.
Peter smiled.
"Spider-Man. You can call me Spider-Man. And thank you as well for doing a fantastic job."
He then jumped and webbed away from the scene. As he left, the kids shouted,
"Thank you, Spider-Man!"
Peter turned mid-swing and gave them his casual two-finger wave.
"Goodbye!"

**Later That Day**
Peter spent the rest of his Saturday saving everyone he could. Whether it was a robbery, store theft, purse snatching, or car theft, he was there to stop it. He swung between Manhattan and Queens, ensuring that everyone was safe. Each rescue brought a new wave of gratitude from the people he saved. The look of relief and thankfulness on their faces was something Peter cherished deeply.
