Jujutsu High...
The midday sun shone in all glory, providing warmth and heat after the cold season, a fresh new beginning after the cold dark nights.
On Jujutsu Campus however the gravity and seriousness of the atmosphere was palpable. The whole school was shrouded in a tense, gloomy aura.
At the school's cafeteria, four familiar figures sat around a small table, leisurely drinking sodas and chatting, as if unaffected by the gloominess.
"Sigh. To think we'd lose such a talented sorcerer, someone so young at that.. How cruel.."
Seated beside Ieiri, Utahime was dressed in her usual red and white kimono sighed and shook her head letting the cat out of Jujutsu High's bag and revealing what was the cause of the sudden gloominess.
"Tsk! I honestly don't get why everyone is so worked up about his death. I mean, most of our mates die all the time, and the higher ups don't care. No one cares. Why should we mourn because one of the Zen'in clan's heirs was assassinated."
Satoru on the other hand was reclined in his seat and he spoke with a chuckle and let out a smile as he sipped on his soda.
"You are an insensitive idiot! You --"
"He's right, you know."
Utahime was about to go on a rant when Ieiri's indifferent voice rang out, silencing her for a moment.
"What?"
She looked towards Ieiri in shock wondering how and why she was agreeing with Gojo.
"Gojo's right. The higher ups don't care about us. Not even the people we protect do. Our mates die everyday and their corpses aren't even secured for a proper burial. Besides I've heard of that Isamu guy. He was a jerk with a superiority complex, and treated people like trash."
She coldly proclaimed and took her coffee while Utahime raged and turned towards Geto, hoping he'd support her at least.
"Hehe. You're right Utahime, but unfortunately, I gotta agree with Gojo and Ieiri. Besides, I don't even know the guy.."
Geto quickly finished his part and looked away while sipping his coffee.
"See even the humanitarian pacifist agrees with me. You're just over reacting.."
Gojo laughed in her face and Geto fumed being referred to as a humanitarian pacifist by Gojo. The can in his hand slowly being crushed.
"What did you just call me?!"
He glared towards Satoru as a small black shadowy dot materialized behind him.
"Watch your tone fucker. And yes I called you a humanitarian pacifist. Isn't that what you are, loser?"
Gojo laughed and slowly pulled off his glasses as the Limitless powered up causing loose objects and debris to be slowly pulled towards him.
"You want to go right now?! Fucker!"
Geto did not hold back, as long fiery scaled millipede like curses slowly crawled out of the portal behind him.
"Oi! This is a cafeteria!!"
Utahime stepped in with a yell, and the two men paused, looked towards her and cancelled out their attacks simultaneously.
"Gojo you idiot!! You're always stirring fights!"
"What? Me?"
Utahime berated the bespectacled youth without restraint and he responded by grabbing his heart and pretending to fall unconscious in his seat.
"But seriously, now that I think about it, which mercernary group is bold enough to assassinate a Zen'in clan heir?"
A fiery argument broke out and Suguru even joined, however silence reigned after Ieiri asked a question, while lighting up a cigar in her mouth.
"Some people believe he was ganged up on, but others believe it was none other than Zero. The wounds from his corpse match those inflicted on Zero's target in the past."
Utahime cleared up their doubts, but Ieiri at that point couldn't help but raise a brow in flabbergast.
"What? How is that possible?"
She asked, trying to hide the surprise on her face and remain calm. But she wasn't the only one feeling shocked a bit. Even Suguru seemed uncomfortable as his name was mentioned.
"Is it just me or can everyone see what I'm seeing right now..Ieiri don't tell me you have a crush on the assassin? How could you ignore this handsome face to go for an assassin?"
It shocked Utahime that despite any situation they found themselves in, Gojo never failed to be narcissistic or petty. But this time she decided to ignore him.
"Even I don't know. That's why Mei san wasn't able to join us here. She's been summoned by the higher ups for a meeting."
She finished her statement and took a sip of her coffee.
"Sigh. These kinda things never end well. They're probably going to be hard on her since she her missions revolve around mercernaries.."
"After that, they'll put up a bounty on that Zero guy and probably get him killed. That's how it's going to end. Movies are pretty accurate."
Suguru spoke first and Satoru continued, while Utahime and Ieiri both shook their heads in annoyance.

Jujutsu Council..
Within a dark and shadowy room, a single candle light in the middle of the room displaced the shadows of figures whose appearances were blocked by the thin paper walls they sat behind. The whole room was doused in the scent of herbs, tea and incense which did seem to bother those who sat in there.
After about a few seconds, a figure slowly walked into the room and stood before the candle, right in the middle of the room. She was dressed in her standard Jujutsu uniform with a blue tie, and her sapphire hair was tied into a long ponytail.
Her beautiful face on the other hand showed no signs of distress, as if she wasn't standing in and surrounding by the presences of arguably the most powerful sorcerers and the leaders of the Jujutsu world.
"I acknowledge your presence Great elders."
She gently bowed as a greeting and raised her head proudly.
"You are in charge of infiltrating and retrieving information from various mercernary organisations and submitting those reports to the Jujutsu society am I right?"
One voice echoed from behind her, and a small.smile crept up to her face.
"Yes, I am.."
She answered respectfully.
"How much have you progressed with your mission?"
Another voice sounded out, breaking the silence once more.
"I can't seem to calculate how far along I am with my mission, but I've established quite the foothold in most of the organizations."
She answered dutifully. Most of them were already aware of her progress so it was unnecessary to lie.
"Then how in the hell did you not receive any news about the planned assassination of Isamu."
A tipsy yet nonchalant voice rang out from the corner, earning a sigh from the rest of the council.
"Mind your tone Naobito. This is a formal meeting!"
A voice reprimanded him, earning them a grunt from him.
"I'm afraid this particular assassination had nothing to do with any of the groups I'm affiliated to, hence I received no news."
She boldly answered, looking to the sky with a straight face.
"Bullshit! For all we know she could be a mastermind behind the murder!"
The drunk voice resounded once more, but the elders shook their heads in response.
"Ive been out of town for the past week and just returned a couple of hours ago. But if the killer is really within any of the organisations I'm affiliated to, I promise to hand him over to the Zen'in clan.."
She vowed and slightly bowed, as if to show remorse.
"That's all for now. You may take your leave.."
Another voice spoke this time, a female one, and Mei simply bowed solemnly and walked out.
After few minutes of silence within the room, the candle light dimmed a bit and the shadows filled every corner of the room.
"What do you think, Kenzo?"
The female voice from before suddenly spoke, with a sinister tone.
"Did you get everything?"
Her voice rang out for the second time, but the person in question let out a frustrated sigh.
"That little girl. She's more experienced than I thought. She came fully prepared.."
Another sinister voice spoke out, and this time, a figure seated behind a stained paper wall revealed himself. He was a handsome and gentle middle aged man, dressed in an all black kimono. His long black hair was nearly combed but the bangs on either sides of his face was unable to fully hide the menacing scar on his forehead, that resembled stitches.
"What do you mean?"
Another voice asked and the man shook his head with a sneer and replied.
"She emptied her mind, only projecting what she planned to speak occasionally. It was like trying to read a corpse's mind. I couldn't discern anything.."
He let out a sigh.
"So what? You couldn't read her memories of something? Don't tell me you're just fucking useless"
The drunk voice resounded again bringing with it more curses.
"Nope. My cursed technique isn't that advanced, to read through memories."
He spoke gently.
"So nothing really confirms the suspect is truly the killer..."
The woman's voice sounded with uncertainty.
"So what? We only need to capture him. Once we do, we can force the truth out of him ourselves. I'll inform my clan to ready our forces."
Another voice sounded out, and everyone else nodded in approval at his words. After all, they were the leaders of the Jujutsu world, no the world itself. Everything they did was for the greater good and could not be questioned.
