Mr. Eddie held a board meeting behind Greg's back. It was a big move that would undoubtedly push Greg off his CEO's position.
At the board meeting, some members in Greg's faction were noticeably absent, while others seemed hesitant and uncertain. A few even jumped ships.
Mr. Eddie, on the other hand, appeared confident and determined, his eyes scanning the room as he began to speak.
"Gentlemen and ladies, we are here today to discuss a matter of great importance. A matter that affects the very future of our company." He paused, surveying the room before continuing. "As you are all aware, Gregory has been involved in some unpleasant rumors lately, the recent one being that he was connected to some underworld activities."
