It was still morning, and Valerie returned to the office, despite her body craving rest. The two-day party and last night's rigorous activities in the bedroom had taken their toll on her, but she couldn't afford to waste more time in North Xoria.
Her mind was preoccupied with thoughts of her daughter. They had spoken that morning, and Valerie's heart ached at the sadness in Ruby's voice. Her daughter missed her parents, and Valerie longed to reunite with her as soon as possible.
As her car pulled into the company driveway, the vehicle slowed down, and the chauffeur looked into the rear mirror. "Madam, it seems you have visitors," he said, his voice cautious.
Valerie's brow arched in surprise. Lifting her gaze from her phone, she asked, "Who is it?"
"Mr. and Mrs. Quinn, ma'am," the chauffeur replied. "They're spread out in the driveway. I can't get through unless I run them over."
