Valerie sat comfortably in her bed, her eyes shining with excitement as she video-called her daughter, Ruby. The little girl's curious face filled the laptop screen.
'Mommy, why are you all over the place?' Ruby asked, concern etching her small features. 'Are Mia's parents bullying you?'
Valerie chuckled, her laughter warm and reassuring. "Of course not, sweetie! You think anyone can bully your supermommy?"
Ruby giggled, her eyes sparkling. 'I told Willy that no one can bully you and he didn't believe me.'
Valerie's grin widened, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "You know your mother better than anyone else," she said, her voice filled with confidence. "If they don't believe you, it's not because you didn't speak the truth, but rather, they're too slow to comprehend it."
Ruby's face lit up with understanding, her small chest puffing out with pride.
