"Hahaha…that's right, that's right, your mommy taught you well, dear." The old woman laughed, patting the space beside her on the sofa. "Sit down, let me tell you what a honeymoon is."
"But Mother, she's too young to learn such things!" Mrs. Victoria chimed in again, but a glare from Mrs. Humphrey sent a chill coursing through her veins.
"What such things are you talking about, Victoria?" Mrs. Humphrey stared at her daughter-in-law who quickly lowered her head to apologize.
"I'm sorry, Mother, it was a slip of the tongue," Mrs. Victoria said, her voice laced with self-reproach, her eyes downcast.
Mrs. Humphrey snorted, "Hmph!" The sharp, dismissive sound cut through the air, leaving no room for argument.
