Zoey composure returned, her lips stretching into a sly smile, gleaming with confidence as she stared at Valerie. "You caught me off guard this time, Valerie." She admitted, "I must applaud you for that, but do you truly think I'd rot in jail?"
Her eyes sparkled with amusement, her voice dripping with conviction. "You went through all of this for nothing. I assure you, Dad won't let that happen," she stated, her tone assured.
Seeing that Valerie was just staring at her without speaking, she asked. "You don't believe me?" she arched a brow. "Then wait for my return," Zoey declared, her voice laced with a subtle threat.
"You're so certain, but rest assured, you can only dream of ever coming out." Valerie retorted. "You don't know what's awaiting you, Zoey."
"No matter what you throw at me, I'll come out victorious, thanks to your father, dear sister."
