Zoey's face paled, her eyes flashing with anger as she listened to the taunting coming from the shoppers. 'How dare they!' she raged in her heart. But she was bent on turning the tables and saving her reputation before someone posted it on the internet.
Her saintly image cannot be tainted by someone like Valerie. She had defeated Valerie in the past and even now, she would defeat her again, she thought.
It seemed that even after the encounters with Valerie, Zoey still hadn't learned anything.
Zoey forced a smile, "Sister, you misunderstood me again, but that's okay." Her voice dripped with saccharine sweetness as she gestured to a guard, who produced a flurry of designer bags and boxes.
"I couldn't resist getting you and my dearest niece some lovely outfits," Zoey cooed. Letting go of Harry's arm, she took the items from the guard, stepped forward and handed them to Valerie.
'Wow! That's one hell of an expensive bag!'
