Chapter 93 - Unraveling the truth

Valerie's eyes darted between Greg and her grandmother, a deep frown etched on her face. "Grandma, do you know him?" she asked, her voice laced with curiosity.

Grandma Wright's gaze lingered on Greg, a mixture of surprise and calculation dancing in her eyes. "I know of his fam–"

"How could grandma possibly know my grandma, from a middle-class family in the province?" Greg interrupted, smiling. His smile masked the unease that was growing within him. He had thought it would be best for Valerie to know now, but after seeing the deep frown etched on her face, as she looked at him, he immediately changed his mind. 

Grandma Wright's brows furrowed slightly as she subjected Greg to a piercing scrutiny. After much thought and deliberation, she was convinced that this was the same young lad she had encountered eight years ago. 

Eight years was enough to change a person's features. And as for his down-to-earth nature, it could be as a result of Valerie and Ruby.
