With the carriage, It would have taken Blake nearly an hour to reach Ladascer but with Winstrel, Hannah's war horse, the Journey had been turned to 8 minutes one, the horse moving so fast that sometimes the world threatened to become a blur to him.
Unlike other villages he had been to, Ladascer village was different and it wasn't because of some inherent feature of the village but because of the scores of soldiers, in armor which carried the crest of an eagle scattered around it.
Right before they reached the entrance, Winstrel took the two of them past two checkpoints and now at the checkpoint, Blake found that a barrier had been erected around the village meaning that unless one was ready to use force and alert the whole base to their presence, everyone, Hannah included had to present themselves at the entrance, this fact letting Blake know that whatever was going on was no trivial matter.
