Angelo still holds Chris' hand, they're both laughing as they get into the school block. Angelo's laugh is louder and Chris sounds like he's giggling than laughing but that is the loudest his laugh can get.
Angelo's happy that Chris has been able to earn Angelo's trust. The first time they saw each it didn't look like they were ever going to be friends, but would Angelo even consider them friends right now? If Chris sees him as a friend then Angelo wins. He doesn't know if Chris is laughing because he genuinely finds Angelo funny or if his gift is what's making him laugh, he is touching him after all.
"There you are," Pedro says making Angelo jump and Chris retrieve his hand. "Hey, bro," he says hi to Chris but Chris pays him no mind, he just leaves the hallway, it is obvious that Chris wants to pounce on him right then and there. Pedro should thank Angelo that he's not doing that right now.
