Victor sent an email to the Dhasur's President through their secret line. Lawrence, their President, was in a tight spot. If the Marcellas discovered his connection with the Thrall family they would execute him. Victor made sure their conversation would not be detected.

Fortunately, his position as a President had not been snatched after the war. He was still the President albeit with far less power in the system than he used to have.

He was voted by the Dhasur citizens as the President four years ago. He was efficient at what he did, perhaps that's why King Marcella decided to keep him while they took over Dhasur. The good thing was Lawrence was still loyal to his family. He kept them updated on Marcella's every move.

"Uncle Victor, come to the pool," Nina shouted, swimming in the pool with Kyle. They were enjoying pool day in their backyard just like old times when their parents were alive. Nina reminded him so much of his little sister. She loved to swim in the pool as well. His heart squeezed at the reminder. He took a deep breath and put on a happy face before turning to his neice.

"Coming. Let me turn the ribs first," he shouted. His father was the one who took care of the barbeque when they were little. A beer in his hand, listening to old music while he looked over his five kids. The four of them would annoy the hell out of their omega mother while their little sister giggled sitting inside the pool-tube. Victor wished he could have done more to save them.

"Step aside. Let me do this," Robin said, standing beside him and taking the pongs from his hands.

Victor cursed. When he saw Robin coming out in a tiny short that barely covered his butt he had to control all his instincts to not murder all the Alphas in the ten meters radius. He couldn't ask him to change, especially when he had been told what to wear all his life. If he wanted to roam around naked Victor would let him but that didn't mean he would not kill anyone who looked at his mate with wrong intentions.

"Is there something wrong?" Robin asked, batting his eyes innocently.

Victor shook his head.

"Your niece is calling you. You should go."

"I can't," Victor grumbled.

"Why not?"

"I am caught in a bit of a situation," he said, looking down at his pants. Robin followed his gaze and gasped quietly. When Robin met his eyes again his face was pink.

"Don't pretend you didn't know this would happen if you walked around wearing that thing," Victor whispered.

"This?" Robin asked, pointing to his clothes. "Kyle gave it to me. The other clothes were not pool-appropriate."

"You look good, Robin. A little too good," Victor said, entranced by the sight of him.

"We should get it out of the way," Robin said, turning to the barbeque again.

"Get what out of the way?" Victor asked, confused.

"The sex," Robin answered in a whisper. "It's messing with our minds. We are attracted to each other, and there is no point in denying it. Let us get it over with."

Victor didn't like the way Robin was talking about their first time. As if it was merely a physical thing. For Victor, it was far more than lust. His need ran deeper than the physical aspect of sex. There was a reason he didn't do it at the palace. He wanted their first time to be sacred. To be special.

Arthur cleared his throat walking between them, making Victor forget whatever he was going to say to Robin.

"Hand me the beer," Arthur said, giving Victor a knowing look. His eyes then turned to Robin, who was humming carefreely, roasting the meat and swaying his hips.

"Why do you look constipated, brother?" Arthur asked.

Victor glared at him but his words made Robin snap his head up and look at Victor as well.

"Are you angry? Did I say something wrong?" Robin asked.

"Depends on what you said," Arthur chimed in.

"Arthur go," Victor warned.

"I asked him to have sex with me," Robin answered, holding Victor's gaze with challenge. "If you don't want to, that's fine with me. It was just a suggestion."

"What? You guys haven't done it yet?" Arthur asked, looking between the two of them.

"No," they answered in unison.

"I can give him birth control pills if that's what is stopping you."

"Wait," Robin frowned, looking at Arthur in confusion. "Why do you have birth control pills?"

"I am a physician," Arthur said, sounding offended. "Didn't you tell him?" He asked, turning to Victor.

"He is a physician," Victor said to Robin.

"You are a healer?"

"No, not a healer. We don't call it that here. I am a physician…a doctor, an omega specialist if you will."

"I don't need birth control. I am not going to get pregnant," Robin said, walking off to go sit on one of the pool chairs.

Arthur followed him and so did Victor.

"Why? Did your father remove your uterus?" Arthur asked.

"Arthur!" Victor snapped.

"I am just asking," Arthur said, shrugging.

"It's okay, Victor. I know how to handle bullies," Robin said, glaring at Arthur. "And no, Arthur, my father didn't remove my uterus. I am not in heat and it's not due until next month. How am I supposed to get pregnant if I am not ovulating?"

Arthur raised his eyebrows, leaning back and smiling at Victor. "He thinks he will not get pregnant if he is not in heat. Do you want me to educate your mate, Victor?"

"Leave it, Arthur," Victor said, gritting his teeth. He made a mental note of talking about this to Robin later.

"Educate me about what?" Robin snapped.

Arthur opened his mouth to answer but Victor interrupted him. "Just let it be."

"I can't. How old is he again…eighteen…nighteen? Our twelve-year-olds know more than him. It's appalling how misinformed these Marcella Omegas are."

"What is he talking about?" Robin asked, turning to Victor, sounding pissed.

"What am I talking about? Well for starters you can get pregnant even if you are not in heat. The only way you might not get pregnant is if he doesn't k**t you. And I don't think he can resist k***ting, considering he is already frothing at the mouth to k***t you the moment he gets the chance."

Robin's mouth was hung open. Rody had his palms on Caroline's ears and Kyle and Nina were too far to hear this conversation.

"I think we have had enough," Victor said, rising from his seat and trying to pull Robin away. Robin jerked his hands off.

"If I am not ovulating, how will the sperm fertilize the egg? I am not stupid. I know how reproduction works."

"Oh really?" Arthur mocked. "Then do tell me the purpose of a k**t because I didn't study medicine for six years for some random omega to come and tell me they know more about reproduction than me."

Robin was fuming. Victor could easily pull him away but he wanted him to fight his own battle.

"To hold the couple in place while the Alpha ejaculates," Robin answered.

"That's great. But there is another purpose."

"What?" Robin asked.

"To deposit as much s****n inside the omega as possible. The volume is enough for traces of sperm to last in the w***b for months."

Robin went quiet, gasping to say something in return. "So I can get pregnant even if I am not in heat?"

Arthur sighed. "Yes. But if you use the birth control I was talking about you can prevent it. See that wasn't so bad, was it?"

"What are you guys talking about," Kyle asked, walking towards them. "Is lunch ready?"

"I think it's done. I will check on it," Rody said, standing up and walking to the barbeque. Victor could sense Robin hated that he lost to Arthur. His mate was a little too prideful for his own good.

"I am starving," Nina said, jumping beside Kyle.

They had lunch in awkward silence. The only one talking was Nina who was sitting on Arthur's lap. Robin kept giving Victor secret glances and he didn't know what to make of it. Victor kept his hands to himself as they enjoyed their lunch, even though all he wanted was to pull Robin close and make him sit beside him. Robin was getting together with his family wonderfully, especially Nina. He was most scared about Kyle not accepting Robin but surprisingly Kyle and Robin were becoming good friends pretty quickly. Victor was glad his family was making new memories instead of holding on to the old ones.

That night Victor was trying to reach Lawrence again when he heard the knock on his door. He opened the door to find Robin standing in the doorway. His long hair tied up in a messy ponytail, a few strands of hair coming undone. There was a distinct flush on his face.

"Hi," Robin said, tentatively. "Can I come in?"

Victor was finding it hard to form words. He gulped down a knot in his throat. He nodded and stepped aside for him to enter his room.

"Robin!" Victor snapped his name so loudly that it made him jump.

"What?" Robin asked.

"What are you doing here?"

"I was getting bored. I hope I am not disturbing you," Robin said, biting his lower lip. "Can I sit on your bed?"

Victor glared. "What if I say no?"

"I am going to sit here anyway," Robin said, sitting down on his bed.

"What are you trying to do, sweet? Did you forget what Arthur said?"

Robin raised his chin in defiance. "I remember but I am not going to take birth control pills from him. What if he poisons me?"

"He would never do that. And if he does I will kill him."

"You will kill your own brother?" Robin asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes."

Robin looked at Victor like he was starved.

"Are you sure you are not in heat?" Victor asked, breathing deeply to find traces of heat but there was none.

"No. I am not in heat."

Victor cursed under his breath. "I can't have sex with you."

Robin's face fell. "Why not? Don't you want me?" he asked.

"I do want you. But I can't have you."

"That makes no sense."

"I don't want you to leave, alright. I want you forever. And once I have you I can't let you go. I will hold you back even if it means going against your wishes."

Robin breathed heavily. There were so many emotions behind those eyes Victor was having a hard time reading it.

Victor let go of his hands and started to get up when Robin pulled him back on top of him.

"Okay," Robin said.

"Okay what?" Victor frowned.

"I will stay. I will stay forever."

Victor was surprised, to say the least. "Are you saying this just to get laid?"

"No, of course not," Robin outraged. "I love being here. I am the happiest I have ever been. This freedom is everything I have ever wanted."

Victor wanted to ask if it was only the freedom that made him stay back or if Victor had any part of it as well, but he didn't want to ruin the mood. He was willing to stay and that is all that mattered.

"We could do this any other time," Victor said.

"Nooo," Robin protested. "You do this every time. I am not letting you go."

Victor chuckled. "Alright, I will try not to k**t you."

"You absolutely can't k**t me. I don't want to be pregnant right now," Robin said with all seriousness.

"Alright, I promise not to k**t you."
