Chapter 20 - 20: Playtime's Over [1]

"Hmph... You managed to defeat your first opponent, and so did I... The power glass is almost filled, which means... Whoever wins the fight gets to fight with Princess Hua... Coming this far, losing isn't on my bucket list."

Lu Feng stood and let the guy just say whatever he thought was necessary. He looked up, confirming the power glass was almost nearly heated up.

At his left and right glance, he spotted Yan. Perhaps she was here to see the end of her deal completed. On top of that, a lot of royal guards had surrounded the arena—not that they mattered, but they were quite noticeable.

"Correct me if I'm wrong, it doesn't matter if it's the tournament; as long as the fight takes place in the arena, the glass fills up?" asked Lu Feng, since he didn't know much about the power glass.

"Yes... But now that it's almost filled, it will require tremendous opponents to go all out. That is why I must be the one to fight Hua," answered the man.

Lu Feng gave a nod, pulled the belt of his sword, and boom, it sank down with a loud noise. There was no different shock from on the ground when he pulled the rest of his armor and raised his hands in the air.

"I surrender," said Lu Feng.

The crowd was completely stunned, muttering to themselves in a jar of disbelief.

"W... Wait, what?"

"I surrender," Lu Feng repeated his words and walked past his opponent, smiling and feeling relaxed. "Do me a favor and keep her from winning till I'm back," said Lu Feng with a smile, his hands tucked in his pockets as he whistled.

Overall, his act left the crowd in no position to react, and his last words left his opponent confused.

"It was expected of him to give up... I guess that leaves me with you and me," Hua came out into the arena, quickly energizing the crowd with chaotic screams once more.

Meanwhile...

As Lu Feng was about to take his quiet leave, Yan was standing beside the wall. Thoughts of being double-crossed were all she could think of—I mean, who wouldn't?

"Tck," she clicked her tongue. "I should have known you're a fraud, trying to run after having your share of the deal," said Yan.

"My share," Lu Feng smirked. "I think we were about even in favors of my share," he added.

Yan felt disgusted, and given the fact she was already inches close to him, bam—a dirty slap landed on his face.

At first, Lu Feng paused. Did he just get slapped? By a girl? Then, the air pressure got tense, and in a wickedly fast speed, boom.

Kweuk.

A devastating backhanded connection to Yan's face sent her crashing against the wall, and her hitman quickly ran toward her. However,

"Drop."

A word from Lu Feng, and it was as if he dropped the oxygen level from their bodies within nanoseconds. After that, he walked toward Yan, whose eyes were now weak with tears and a bit bruised.

He reached her and squatted, holding her beautiful face. He assured her.

"Do you remember having sex with this face? No? You made a deal with Lu Feng..." Lu Feng stood up, tucking his hands back in as he began walking away, completing his words.

"So stay around until Lu Feng returns," he stopped walking and tilted his neck to the side a bit. "Are we clear?" he asked in a sounding demonic voice and stare.

Under the dark rumbling dull clouds, Rong, Yu Cai, and Ai Ming stood on top of a building with at least six harem members who had their heads bowed to the incoming Lu Feng.

His steps were bold, hands still tucked in, and as his shadow crossed the moon, from a wimpy transmigration, he transformed into himself with his black long hood on and stood in front of his harem generals.

"You gave up the task, Lord Lu," said Ai Ming. Her tight black suit, like a second skin with golden strips no different from the rest, made her body set out perfectly.

"Let me explain," said Rong. "All he needed to do was give the tournament a head start to filling the glass, and it doesn't matter what type of fight is in the arena, as long as it fills the glass more quickly with strong opponents."

"Is Princess Hua not strong enough to fill the glass?" asked Yu Cai.

"She indeed is, but... The young princess will hold back attacks in the arena... And not only will she go all out on a Lu Feng, but we believe her sister would join in... Hence, the glass will not escape its full potential."

"He'll pick up the pace faster after this battle than revealing himself with no backups," said Rong.

"Backups?" Lu Feng repeated, sending a bit of wind to himself. "You're not backups, nor do I need or have one," he continued.

"You're all just the ones... to tell my tales."

---

Boom... Bam... kweuk.

Princess Hua kept dealing tremendous damage to her opponent, but he could tell her attacks were holding back their true nature.

"I'm no weakling," he yelled. "Go all out and fill the glass!"

"If I listen to you, there'll only be one dead corpse in the arena," Princess Hua replied.

Hehe, and the reply she got was far more shocking—not even coming from her opponent but rather, boom, from Lu Feng, who came down out of nowhere and muttered...

"Exactly."
