The sun bathed the bustling city filled with light and hope. There were many street vendors around, filling the air with scents of food. Everything was unique in its own way.
But what I found to be the most unique thing here. Is this girl next to me, her outfit was vibrant but also eye-catching too. A shirt tucked within her long jean pants. Her purse wrapped around her shoulder and the assortments of her bracelets that jingled with every step she take, and eyes that looked like you were seeing the ocean.
That's Saiko for you, she is known for her very fashionable personality. While me on the other hand, only wearing beige short pants and a black t-shirt that says "Shut up.", in white outline.
Shuddup! So what if I'm not fashionable and wear weird clothes! I love them and that's all that matters, unless you have a problem with that.
"MICHI!", Saiko exclaimed, her voice laced with a mix of frustration and worry.
"H-Huh? What is it?", I say shockingly, surprised by the sudden tone in her voice.
Saiko stood as her hands planted firmly on her hips, her posture rigid and unyielding. Her eyes narrowed at me with a blend of frustration and concern. The tension within her shoulders was palpable and you can clearly see she isn't happy.
"I have been talking to you for the last 15 minutes! Where has your mind been off to? I was trying to ask you how the move was?" She responds with a tight frown, as her eyes betrayed a flicker of concern.
"Ah! The move was great!" I immediately responded.
She stared at me, eyebrows raised and lips pressed into a thin line. Before she turned her head, as she shifted her stance and sighed. "Next time be more aware of your surroundings…. Alright?".
I nodded, while making a sheepish smile, I can feel my cheeks are flushed. "...Sorry about that, it won't happen again.". I would try to hide my embarrassment for not paying attention to her.
She looked at me for a bit more before her eyes softened a bit, and the tension in her shoulders would ease. She nudged me playfully on the shoulder, with a light-hearted chuckle. "Come'on no more of this awkward air! Let's just hurry to the cafe! We were supposed to be there by 10:35AM!".
"Oh right! This is my first time meeting your friend! I really hope I make a good impression!", I spoke, while my voice strained. My palms were a bit sweaty, as I couldn't stop thinking about what Saiko's friend looked like or her personality.
I hope we can be great friends.... As we make our way over to the cafe.
