Rather than returning to the cheering section, I remained a diligent summoning officer, guiding competitors to the entrance and wandering around the stadium. Occasionally, I stopped at various spots to watch the events unfold from different angles. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say I was enjoying the festival more than the students confined to the cheering section. After all, not only did I have the freedom to observe from anywhere I wanted, but I was also playing a vital role in supporting the festival itself.
"This is what true social contribution feels like," I muttered to myself, half-jokingly. "I never realized how satisfying it could be to work for a greater purpose."
