The D-level certification dungeon resembled a natural cave. Uneven paths stretched into the depths, with jagged rocks scattered throughout. Water dripped from the ceiling, creating countless small puddles that shimmered in the dim light.
"If I knew this dungeon was going to be like this, I'd have brought an iron ball with me," Wataru grumbled.
"Are you saying you're not confident?" Shibahime teased with a sly smile.
"It's not that… but look at you—where's your sword?"
"If I don't have a sword, I can just cut with my hands," Shibahime replied, slicing through the air with a swift hand gesture. A sharp whoosh accompanied her movement, as if she'd slashed the air itself.
They had come straight from school and their Swordmaster Club practice without preparation. Both Shibahime and Virto were still wearing their uniforms. It was as if they were treating the dungeon like a casual outing.
