I watched Lin-Do finalize her club registration, my battered body slumped against the wall. With a few taps on her phone, she would officially join the Swordmaster Club.
"Five-minute registration through a school app, huh? Modern convenience ruins everything," I muttered, half-heartedly aiming the complaint toward Shibahime beside me.
She was busy toweling off her drenched hair and clothes, all while maintaining an air of aloof elegance.
"Funny how you only start complaining about convenience when it stops working in your favor," she quipped without looking up.
"Bold words from a traitor," I shot back.
"I never betrayed you. We were never allies to begin with," she replied, her voice cold and indifferent, as if the thought genuinely puzzled her.
"I don't know what Professor Osmond is planning," I continued, "but with Lin-Do joining, the Swordmaster Club just got a huge power boost. You realize that, right?"
