Chapter 18
He then kissed her forehead and gently got off from the top of her. "We'll be late if you don't get up," he said with a playful smile.
Still unable to move from embarrassment, she touched her flushed cheeks, feeling their warmth. She stayed in bed for a while, reminiscing about what had just happened. Slowly, she pulled herself together and got up, preparing for the day.
As she moved towards the kitchen, she heard the clanking sound of a pan and was greeted by the delicious aroma of freshly cooked pancakes and brewed coffee.
"Here's your breakfast," James said, placing a plate in front of her as she sat down at the table, yawning.
Nima looked at the beautifully arranged breakfast spread on the table. The pancakes were golden brown, topped with a pat of melting butter and a drizzle of syrup, accompanied by fresh strawberries and sliced apples. The coffee was steaming, and its rich aroma filled the air. She couldn't help but smile at James's thoughtful gesture, feeling a deep sense of warmth and appreciation.
"Thank you, James. This looks amazing," she said, taking a sip of the rich, dark coffee.
He smiled affectionately and said, "You deserve to be spoiled, My love."
As she was about to sit at the table for breakfast, Nima tied her hair into a ponytail, exposing the delicate curve of her neck, unconsciously tempting James.
Unable to resist her allure, James imagined pulling her close, his massive hand tenderly resting on the front of her neck pulled her close. In his mind, he leaned in, placing a soft kiss on the back of her neck, sending shivers down her spine. His lips lingered there, warm and gentle.
He looked at her with a hungry wild look in his eyes, his desire evident but controlled. The sight of her, so effortlessly captivating, made his heart race.
James sat down across from her, watching her with a contented expression as she ate the breakfast he prepared.
"Do you like it?" James asked, diverting his mind from his endless thoughts.
Nima nodded. "Yes, very much," she admitted, taking a sip of her coffee
"I'll be feeding you breakfast, lunch, and dinner once we get married," James said, smirking with affectionate eyes.
Nima spat out the coffee she had, spraying it all over James's face. She widened her eyes in surprise. "Marriage? Aren't we moving too fast, James?" she asked, wiping her mouth and looking at James apologetically.
James pouted and sulked. "Why, don't you want to marry me?" he asked with puppy eyes.
Nima stuttered, not knowing what to say. "It's just... I don't have to marry you to eat the food you cook. I can have it any day I come here," she said, trying to brighten his mood.
His face brightened. "Then, are you going to live here?"
Nima was perplexed at how he came to such conclusions. She looked at James's face and couldn't say anything further, so she just nodded.
He got up, looked at Nima, and picked up the dirty plates from the table. "You should get ready. After I finish washing the dishes, I'll get changed and drop you off at work."
