Shen Li followed the butler downstairs, exited the ballroom through the back door, and walked along the lengthy corridor straight to the very end.
The butler knocked on the door of the last resting room and respectfully said, "I'll wait for you outside the door. Please call me at any time if you need anything."
"Hmm, thank you," Shen Li replied.
As she was speaking, the door opened.
The one opening the door was a girl in her twenties, pure and pretty with a somewhat pitiful look, her face sporting a timid smile as she said, "You must be Miss Shen Li, please come in."
Shen Li was initially startled but then she smiled.
