"The owner of the necklace has decided to suspend the auction and present this necklace to Miss Shen Li," Lady Windsor said as she spoke, the auctioneer immediately took the necklace from the display and placed it into a box.
Lady Windsor took the box and stepped down from the stage to approach Shen Li, holding it out to her with a smile, "I hope Miss Shen will gladly accept this gift."
"Thank you," Shen Li said with a slight smile, without the intention of getting up to receive it.
Seeing this, Lady Windsor promptly placed the necklace box on the table and kept watch as Shen Li's butler took away the brocade box.
Guo Ling, who was previously basking in her triumph, stood frozen as though dumbfounded; it wasn't until the necklace was put away by the butler that she seemed to snap out of it, screaming shrilly: "I offered a higher price, that necklace belongs to me."
