A series of iron doors opened, creaking loudly, deep in the dungeon where no sunlight could penetrate, the dim overhead lights gave off a faint glow that seemed to be devoured, leaving it so dark one couldn't see their own hand in front of their face. An invisible oppressiveness filled the air, making it feel like endless Hell.
"Mr. Situ," the guard, having pocketed the keys, said softly, "You need to hurry."
Normally, entry here was forbidden, but since it was Situ visiting, and Dongfang was the prisoner, an exception was made.
Situ nodded, offering a smile to the guard, "I won't cause any trouble for the brothers."
The iron door closed again, the sliver of light from the door crack switched off, and in the pitch darkness of the dungeon, apart from Situ's footsteps, one could faintly hear the sound of rushing water.
