The butler pushed open the door to the study, and Shen Li was momentarily dazzled, not because the decor was luxurious but rather because the study's furnishings exuded a sense of style.
What surprised Shen Li was the sheer number of books in the room. The two floors were connected, opening up into a single space in the villa with a wooden staircase joining them. Even the walls around the stairs were lined with various books. There were high shelves on both levels, fitted with ladders for easy access to the books.
"Every year when Sir comes to Switzerland, it's his most leisurely time. Sir has no particular hobbies, he just likes to read, so he arranged for a small study. Although it's quite modest compared to the one at home, Sir likes it very much," the butler said with a smile.
