The dining room was ready with a lavish breakfast. When Shen Li got out of bed, the maid serving the second floor would notify the kitchen. By the time Shen Li was done getting ready and came downstairs, the meal was perfectly set on the table.
Relative to lunch and dinner, breakfast was simpler. However, Shen Li had gotten up at noon, and since they didn't know what she wanted to eat, they had sent up a mix of breakfast and lunch dishes, filling the table.
"Ah...." Shen Li sighed as she picked up the chopsticks, feeling tired, achy, and weak all over, with not an ounce of energy left. This wouldn't do, she thought, she needed to continue catching up on sleep today—sleeping for a full day might still not be enough to restore her spirits….
"This is a soup Mr. Huo specifically instructed us to prepare for you this morning," said the butler, as a maid brought over the stewed soup.
Shen Li turned her face away and said, "I don't want it, take it all away."
