The contract term is three years, and the terms are not too strict, nor are they particularly lenient. The company provides ample resources, but it also requires the artist to fully cooperate. Once things are set in motion, the artist can't just call a halt on their own. If the company has invested in raising you, and then the artist decides to quit, not making money for the company, they would be waiting to pay a breach of contract penalty until death.
As for the salary, it's also standard according to industry regulations. How much the company offers, how much the agent takes, and how much the artist receives are all clearly written down, and you can trust that it won't be less than what's due.
