Shen Li was about to say no when she was silenced.
"You really are too cute," Huo Siyu murmured into Shen Li's ear.
It was as if a missing part of his body had suddenly been filled. A genuine affection made him hold Shen Li tightly, overwhelmed with the emotion of not wanting to part even for a moment. An inexplicable fascination took over him, and he found himself almost unable to control his emotions.
Shen Li struggled to embrace Huo Siyu, but her body, having just recovered from a fever, was still too weak, her strength seemingly drained in an instant as she gasped for breath.
"Do you like it?" Huo Siyu asked, his tone affectionate and loving.
"No, don't...", Shen Li protested, her body beginning to tremble.
Huo Siyu asked again, "Do you like it?"
Shen Li's remaining rationality returned, and she found herself unconsciously biting her lower lip. Like? How could she possibly like being treated this way?
