"Does it smell good?" Qiao Xia asked with a smile, as the bone broth that had been simmering for an hour wafted its rich aroma through the air.
Mu Liang gazed at her, his usually indifferent eyes twinkling with mirth. The girl's hair curled up into a bun, held together with an ear band, her fair skin and rosy cheeks made her look like a plump peach about to ripen, irresistibly cute to the point it drew blood from his face.
"Delicious!"
He had always felt that Qiao Xia was a combination of strength and softness. When she was tough, she was like a cold arrow; yet when gentle, she was as soft as cotton, adorably winsome.
The air conditioner was on in the room, making it exceptionally warm. Even Mu Liang, in his sweater, felt a bit hot, so he lowered the temperature a bit. Qiao Xia prepared two cold dishes, and they started eating right away. Mu Liang hadn't eaten much at noon, and he was famished by evening, so it took a good while for his stomach to feel warm.
