Episode 59: The Chief's House
The crew moves stealthily through the village, avoiding the wandering villagers who are still under the demonic influence. The fog continues to thicken, swirling around them like a living entity. They finally reach the chief's house—a large, imposing building surrounded by tall, iron gates. The air is thick with a sense of foreboding.
As they approach the gate, they're confronted by the chief's guards. These aren't ordinary men—their eyes glow with a dark, malevolent light, and a sinister aura surrounds them. The guards draw their weapons and attack without hesitation. Zhōu D. Roan steps forward, his movements swift and precise. He uses his newly acquired sound arts, a technique he perfected during his meditative training on the ship. By focusing on the sound of their movements, he's able to predict their attacks, dodging and countering with deadly efficiency.
Kira joins the fray, using the Black Mist Ring to disorient the guards, while Ace activates his iron skin ability, making him nearly invincible as he charges forward. Venus and Ami hang back, providing support and picking off any guards who manage to get past their front line. It's a brutal, intense battle, but the crew emerges victorious, leaving the guards unconscious and bound at the gate.
