With the mansion in turmoil, Venus, Jace, Ami, Ace, and Lelia fled to a nearby inn, seeking refuge. They arrived at the "Crested Anchor Inn," a rundown establishment with a grumpy front desk clerk named Garret.
"We need five rooms," Venus said, handing over the payment of 15,000 L$.
Garret raised an eyebrow but took the money, mumbling under his breath about the eccentric customers he had been getting lately. "Rooms are up the stairs and to the left. Don't make too much noise."
The crew settled into their rooms, exhausted but relieved to be out of immediate danger.
