Chapter 32 - CHAPTER 32... THE DARK MEMORY PARK.

"Now you listen to me Mr Cameron or whatever you call yourself. For your dear information, Lexa has ceases to be your wife, she is not your puppet neither is she a barter of some kind that you can use for exchange. We are here to inform you that the second hearing is in a week and four days time. Our witnesses are ever ready to testify against you and ourevidences and footage are very valid. Now if I were you, I won't stress it much and plead guilty so that your punishments can be lessened a bit because this time around, neither your connection, friends, arrogance, family reputation or even your wealth can save you this time around. Your doom is near, so you better prepare your room and accept it with open hands." Jace spat as Cameron's eyes wildened, his hands shivered as his heart skipped.

"Neither your connection, friends, arrogance, family, reputation or wealth can save you" The exact words Jace said kept ringing loudly in his ears as he walked silently back to his cell room.

"Lex, don't listen to whatever he said alright. You don't have to be scared those were just mere threats. He was just trying to make you feel scared and guilty while he plays the victim, you shouldn't give into his speech, he is finally in jail now and cannot do more than just to bark. He is at your mercy now, so you have the upper hand and authority to do whatever you desire." Jace said to Lexa while holding her hands firmly as they walked out of the station. Jace had noticed the way Lexa's hands shivered and grew cold as Cameron threatened her earlier. He wished Lexa knew how much authority she had over Cameron now.

Jace didn't want to take her back home yet, especially after what just transpired at the station. He had a five minutes event run down in his head as he smiled before whispering to the driver on the new location. He knew Lexa was still traumatized and finding it really difficult to heal from the things she experienced with Cameron which made him become more gentle and considerate towards her as he just wanted to have a fresh start with her. He looked at the pale lady beside him and smiled warmly as be gently wrapped his shoulder around her.

"We are we heading towards" Lexa asked in her soft little feminine voice, raising a brow as she noticed the driver taking a different route.

"It's a surprise" Jace replied with a wink.

Twenty five minutes into driving, the car immediately came to a park after driving into a parking lot.

Shock and confusion soon gave way as Joy and cheerfulness crept into Lexa the moment she recognized the place they were in. It was the mini park, the exact one Jace had taken her to 2 years back the second time they met. A whole lots of memories were created in this park, she instantly remembered her puppy max, her beautiful brown retriever, her ever lively dog her parents forcefully sold a week to her wedding because to them...She was going to be a wife and owning a pet dog doesn't display maturity. Mex her puppy had been more than just a dog ti her, it was her companion and her only friend. Max was the only reason she had Jace in her life right now , and she couldn't help but blame herself for how Max ended up. She swallowed it all in as she didn't want to go deep into those bad memories. At this park, she had her first picnic with Jace, and at this same park she announced her breakup to Jace.

She had captioned this park the 'The Dark Memory Park', in her journal 2 years ago, due to the memories she had in this mini green park.

She stepped out of the car into the parkas he's slowly looked around. Nothing much had changed as everything still looked the way they looked the last time she was here, the little grasses were still green, the play tools were still intact as little children played in them, the stone chairs they used to sit on then we're still there, the sharp grasses and flowers that usually pricked here we're still there as she noticed the yellow wild flower Jace used to bring to her then.

Everything on the park was still very much intact as it didn't change a bit. The only thing that changed was her, 2years ago, her young cheerful self was always at this park, playing on it with her dog, but 2years after, she is back on this park as a married woman without any form of cheerfulness in her.

She turned and embraced Jace as she whispered a 'thank you' to him, with her heart full of appreciation.

She strolled around the park, gathered the children and sang rhymes for them as they clapped and sang along with her cheerfully.

Some people at the park and passersby saw her on the middle of the children and recognized her as the Raynold's daughter. The girl all over social media due to her court case with her husband. While some pitied her for what she suffered as Cameron's wife, others abused her for lying against her husband to elope with her ex, but none was bold enough to Wal up to her so it ended as side gossips.
