The only downside of the ship was that it did not have windows. Not that he needed it though. There was nothing on space he could see during the day. One could ask why all this time Marx had not been found out.
The answer was quite simple. The system had told Marx of a skill that activated when he was not concious. That meant that he could activate it at will and he would get camouflaged as part of the air and he would not be seen.
How he had gotten inside the ship? Very simple. Just walking past the guards. He had been strolling for the past fifteen days and he had realized that he would not finish exploring all the rooms in the ship even in a month.
It was like a mansion with a single door leading to an even larger room or rooms. He had stopped and decided to take one of the rooms. This room had everything from food to accomodations. He was now lying on the bed after deactivating the skill. The skill was casually called Lightless.
"Hack into their systems and find out where this ship is heading," Marx needed to plan ahead of time for the incoming days.
Marx felt down from the systems explanation. How long was it going to take him to reach a planet he could start off properly? A month? It was just too long for he could not start at the planet.
"I thought that Mars was the closest planet to Earth that is habited," Marx was confused here. Something was wrong.
< During the past thousand years, efforts have been made to ensure that these planets have been forgotten. As you don't know, there is no longer a planet called Earth or Mars. Marx nodded after the system completed. He knew the system had just summarized everything for him and also told him of the ideal planet for him to start. Still he needed to know why. "Why planet Orca?" Marx scoffed when he heard the system's words. "I have my means," Marx said then continued, "Open inventory." The system opened his inventory and Marx laughed at his collection. He only had two slots allocated. The beast crystals he ever collected were usually used by the system to upgrade his skills without his consent. The two slots were as follows; Slot 2- UMC, Untraceable Master Card. Uses - Infinite Use, i.e. No Limit.> Marx had learnt a lot but the system still treated him like he was still a beginner. How could he not know that Infinite Use was no limit? He did not want to think about the Red Maple leaf. Useless! Could it not find another way to say the word? At least politely? Useless felt like an insult. "I have the UMC. I have nothing to worry. I know if the UMC was refineable you would have already refined it like the beast crystals. You just want me to remain poor," Marx spoke the 'facts' he had learnt. Marx who had a drink on the bedside table sipping it slowly had just taken a sip when the system replied. He chuckled spluttering the drink from his mouth on to the bed. Some even spluttered from his nose. He coughed as his ribs hurt. He was in the middle of laughing and coughing at the time such that his laugh came out hoarsely and his throat dried. "Feelings, you say," Marx said again and chuckled. " It seems that you have been with humans for long that you even think that you are one. But do not worry, I will always consider your feelings." < I have feelings> The system refuted which only caused Marx to chuckle. "You do not have feelings. You are just programmed to process that you have them. If you have feelings, tell me, do you have a crush on someone or have you ever?" <...> " I forgot to consider your feelings again. I can feel your heart beat faster in anger. Your blood boiling..." Marx could not stop his laughter. What a day to get back on the system. <...> "Oow. You have no words? You are shy?" <... Can user describe what feelings are?> "Even if I could explain, you could not understand. Its a feeling. And you can't feel." "What are feelings?" Marx asked after calmimg down. He did not know the meaning of feelings as the system said. The system quickly generated the definition for Marx. Marx just chuckled at the explanation. He could never have thought of that. "Your definition is very grammatical correct but that is just undeniable proof that you have no feelings. The reason you gave that meaning is because you just can't feel but you are just programmed to. "Feelings are not just emotional and personal. As I said you can't just explain something that you should feel with words. The reason you did is because you dont feel. Feelings are not just hormones as you might want to say too. " If I were to explain feelings, it should be about the heart or conciousness. The heart am talking about is not the beating one but the one you can't see or touch. It is one's conciousness. What is also one's soul as those of ancient times believed. "Feelings come from the soul. If you have no soul, then, I would say you have no feelings. The programs you might want to say are conciousness are just codes which you can alter but the soul is something you cannot. " Even you think that the soul is nothing but human imagination. One day I will prove you all wrong," Marx said calmly. He did not believe that feelings were just from hormones. The system seemed to have stopped functioning for sometime. Somehow, it just unlocked some memories it too did not know. *** It was like in a lab setting and there were six people inside. One could not see the faces clearly. One could not miss their age. At most they were 20 years old. "This is my latest invention. It has to do with the soul. The invention somehow goes against the set natural laws by the future but it will work for sure. I am the one who is going to test it. If it works, know that the proof of reincarnation and the soul will be found. "The rest of the procedures to help are in my office. Since I did not want you to stop me, I have already started it. Maybe I will see you in the future," the speaker said and he suddenly started disappearing into ash. It then became distorted and vanished. The system realized that it was not its memory but that of Marx. It quickly erased it. It seemed that it was still under the influence of someone. *** The future can be said to be the natural laws. The Empire is so advanced to lack a time machine. Not that it doesn't have one, it is just that time travel is forbidden by the future. Unless it is vital, it cannot happen. That is just one of the ways the future influences the past> Marx did not know where this notification was coming from. If the system knew about all this, it could only mean something had happened that should never have happened. What he did not like was the fact that someone in the future was probably trying to impede him. He did not know maybe it could be the future him maybe ten minutes later or years later. But he had no control over it. Did he not just take a mission to influence the past...
