Chapter 61 - Chapter 61. The Mission

One looking at the scene would definitely try to poke their eyes off. Marx was treating them like kids. Only a slap was enough to take down the first guy. Then, he continued like a parent disciplining his kids. Unbothered by their rounded mouths

Two more consecutive slaps rang out tearing through the air. Some had no choice but to feel their own cheeks. It actually felt like it was them being slapped. Some squirmed in a 'tch' sound.

Mia's brother stopped inches away from the slap's reach. Was he ready to get embarassed? He looked at the other guys on the ground meters away from him. It appeared like someone hit them with piece of wood rather than a slap

As the leader, at least he had to make an impact... He resigned to his fate and charged too. But he did not charge blindly. That was what Marx liked about this guy. At least he was able to keep a clear mind but he still let his pride lead.

Marx found the punch faster than the rest and also he could sense the strength in that fist. He still wanted to test it again. He refused to block it and let it hit his face. He smiled when he felt the strength of that punch.

He realized it was not only venting that he needed. He still needed a beating and he just found someone who could do it perfectly. He let another punch land his chest and more consecutive punches. Some on his face, ribs and belly.

Instead of showing pain, he was actually smiling. Even after he spat a mouthfull of blood, he smiled even wider. This was what he had been looking for. Though he still wanted to kick some ass, these people could not help him in venting.

But he could still get some weight off his chest by taking a beating. He even felt that his thought process was clearing and he could even think clearer. He also realized that this mission had more to it. Something that he could not get anytime soon.

But he felt like it was a pavement to his long road ahead. It was a mission where after he came out, he would be a completely different person. His view would change and he would not leave this place.

The mission had no time limit and it was likely that he could only fulfil the mission after meeting some certain criteria which he had to find out on his own. He received an uppercut. The fist landed on his chin and he was sent flying falling beside Mia.

His eyes were closed as he kept thinking about the mission. He opened his eyes and saw the horrified look on her face. She was covering her mouth with her palms. His face was a bloody mess but he was still smiling showing his bloodied teeth.

He spat to the side dying the ground red. Marx's thoughts strayed. He was too close to her that he almost saw her treasured part had he not looked away but he still had a glance which made his heart feel like it was beating all over his body.

He sat up and stood next to her. She wanted to step forward and stand between him and her brother but Marx held her hand.

" Its time I end this," Marx said and walked forward.

Mia's brother had been at loss. Others might have thought that he was dominating but he knew better. He was being used. He felt like he would just run away. He was at least keeping his image but so what? He was not enjoying at all. He was going to have an even huger loss.

When he heard Marx's words, he knew that he was done for. He expected a slap but he saw Marx raise his fists to his chest and jogged towards him. He was again at loss. This guy was even lowering himself to his level.

He could tell from his stance that he was a straight forward fighter and he could even tell that this guy either never had proper training or had no training at all. The latter was the most probable. He watched the first fist and he shook his head, the guy was never trained.

He evaded the fist by bending backwards but he instantly regretted for even though the guy was never trained, his fists were fast. He evaded the right fist but the left fist landed almost as soon as the right one missed.

It hit him at the chest. It was not as painful but he could tell that the guy held back to the most extreme. Just how powerful was he. Mia's brother fell on his back and he raised his hands in defeat. There was no use fighting this lost battle.

He saw the disappointed look on Marx but he could not dare fight anymore or he would break some bones. Marx offered him his hand but the guy was hesitant as he took it. He stood up with an sorry look. He did not glance at his sister.

"You won't apologize to her?" Marx asked. Her brother glanced at her and then to the crowd. If he did, it would make history. No man ever apologized to a female. That was the reason why Mia found it hard to accept Marx's apology when they met.

"It's okay I have no..." Mia spoke but she was stopped by Marx who cut in.

"Its not okay. You are no much different from them. I don't believe one should have power to treat the other gender as though they are nothing. You can do some things they can do too," Marx said to her but everyone heard his words.

Mia looked at Marx with a bewildered expression. Did this guy know what he was talking about? His words were a taboo. Yet he spoke them infront of all them. But no one dared to refute him. They were just waiting to see the reaction from Mia's brother.

"Call me Ram. I don't agree with you and I would never apologize for doing justice to men. A woman will never have the right to speak infront a man. You are in the wrong place," he said not even feeling the slightest guilt.

When Marx heard his words, he just realized the purpose of this mission. The mission was about ridding of this chauvinistic thoughts in these people. The mission was to make sure he changed their thoughts and accepted women as people not things.

It was going to be tough then. He looked at Mia who was looking at the ground. She was about to even shed tears. Just what trouble she had brought this guy. He had already done enough. She already accepted her position to begin with.

Was this not where she had grown up? She stepped behind Marx and clasped her hands forward and did not dare look up as she spoke in a meek tone.

"I accept my punishment and I would never dare take our culture lightly. I apologize for I have caused you trouble. It will be better for you to get rid of those thoughts of yours. We all have accepted this rules," Mia said and she wanted to go on her knees.

Marx flashed to her before she could go on her knees. What a society! He stopped her and made her stand up. She looked down not even raising her eyes. One could not mistake the tears that fell to the ground.

They just kept fueling Marx's rage. He even felt like he would kill each of the men in this village. He cupped her cheeks and made her raise her head. Even then, she refused to raise her eyes. Marx almost removed his gun and get rid of this people.

"Raise your eyes," Marx said gently but she just looked away. Had he not been cupping her cheeks, he would have been clenching his fists. "Look at me!" He said raising his voice.

It seemed to work on her breaking through her mind barrier as she raised her eyes and looked at his. But even more tears fell. If he could just get why she was crying. He had even gotten stopped of wiping her tears and let her cry it out. When she stopped, he spoke. Darkness had already knocked in but it was still clear

"I will not leave until I make sure that these men recognize the presence of women in the society. It might take time but he will one day apologize to you," Marx said as he pulled her in his embrace. Again, she started sobbing. He sighed and after a while, she pulled away.

After she pulled away, just realized that there had been two mounds pressing on his chest. This was not the time to have these thoughts. He took her arm and started walking away past her brother. He spoke words that everyone one heard.

"No one is supposed to walk with their heads low just because you are of the other gender. All must be treated equally. A progressive society is one that does not leave some of its people behind.

" If you could just get rid of these thoughts, you could see the growth your society would have. What I hate most is biased people. No one should believe that they are superior than the others. I hope that you could all rid of these biases and accept everyone," he said.

As Marx spoke, she felt like he was a saint. She looked up at him and followed him. His demeanor when he said those words was like that of a descended angel. She did not even realize that he had stopped and she bumped into his back.

He placed his hand on the back of her neck and pulled her forward to walk side to side. For the first time in years, she felt a honest smile form on her lip. It was a relieved smile that caused those who saw it to have their hearts skip a beat.

From how she was dressing in the large shirt, she appeared even more seducing than when she was only wearing a loincloth. It gave the desire to want to know what is it that was above the edge of the t-shirt and what was that pressing out of the chest...

Marx looked at her and smiled the same bright smile as she was. From the moment he met her, he wanted nothing but to protect her. The first person he met who made his heart move was from mission. It was like his love star had been blocked.

He was going to leave her after the mission was complete. But he loved to live the moment. Make memories of a lifetime...
