"So, looking forward to your date with Felicia?" Peter's voice spoke through Harry's phone.
"It should hopefully be a lot better than the last one with Chloe," Harry replied as he looked at himself in his mirror. He had settled on a pair of red trainers with blue jeans, a white shirt and an open black zip-up hoodie. "Though admittedly my expectations for this one aren't that big, we're just going to go to the cinema's, see a movie and then get some food."
"Isn't that the exact same thing you did for Chloe?" Peter asked, Harry could almost see his frown.
"Exactly, and if it works this time then I know that she'll be a lot better than Chloe," Harry said logically whilst examining himself.
"Yeah, I'm sure that the kleptomaniac will go much better than the gold digger," Peter said, not even bothering to hide his doubt. "Still, I wish you the best of luck. And hey, if it doesn't work then there are plenty more fish in the sea."
"Like your aunt?" Harry asked without missing a beat.
"I'll put itching powder in your suit," Peter warned him.
"Honestly, I still don't understand why my hair is always so messy." Harry frowned. "Either way, I'll let you know how it goes. See ya later." Harry told him before hanging up and putting his phone in his pocket. "Alright Osborn, let's try not to mess this one up." He let out a deep breath before he walked out of his room and began heading out of his apartment, only to be interrupted by his mother.
"Somebody is looking dapper today," She commented walking up to him.
"That's debatable but thank you," Harry said sincerely.
"Where are you going?" She asked curiously.
"I'm going on a date," Harry answered.
"Oh," She said, sounding somewhat surprised. "It's not with that girl, is it?" She frowned, sending him a questioning look.
"The gold digger? Nah, her name is Felicia." Harry replied.
"Felicia?" She repeated. "Wait, is that the new friend you had told me about?"
"Pretty much," Harry nodded.
"Is she nice?" Emily asked.
"Well, she has her ups and downs," Harry admitted. "I don't really know what's going to happen but I'm going to try and keep an open mind."
"Well, that's a good attitude to have," She said approvingly before she leaned forward and kissed his head. "Don't take too long though, I'm making chicken later tonight."
"I love chicken," Harry grinned. "I'll see you later, Mum."
"Have fun, sweetie." She called after him as he exited through the door.
"Sorry, I'm late," Felicia apologized as she met up with Harry outside of the cinema.
"It's alright, I'm not going to throw a fit if you're five minutes late," Harry said, waving her off as he took a good look at her. She had opted to go for a pair of green and white trainers, a knee-length blue skirt, a black top and an expensive looking white jacket. "You're looking good." He said, the words escaping out of his mouth before he could even think to stop himself.
"You're not looking so bad yourself," She smiled. "So, shall we?" She asked, gesturing to the the building.
"Whenever you're ready," Harry nodded, offering her an arm.
"Such a gentlemen," She said teasingly, sliding her left arm into his.
"My mother's British," He said by way of an explanation before they walked inside. "So, what sort of a film do you want to watch?" He asked. "Romantic? Drama?"
"Action," Felica said without missing a beat. "I see enough romance and drama just walking through our school."
"Excellent," Harry grinned before looking at the film selections. "How about that one?" He asked, pointing to a poster of a superhero film.
"That'll do," She shrugged. "Let's get going," She said, pulling him towards the ticket section.
"I can pay for the tickets," Harry offered.
"I can pay for my own," Felicia refused, giving him a look that said it would be better for him to not argue.
"If you're sure," Harry shrugged. 'This is already going better than my last date,' He thought to himself.
"It wasn't even realistic," Felicia argued as she and Harry walked out of the cinema, discussing the film that they had just watched. "I mean...the bullets should have gone through him and hit the guy behind him, they must be pretty piss-poor bullets if they can be stopped by a single person."
"Felicia, honey, sweetie," Harry said with an amused smile. "If you're expecting realism in a superhero action film then I fear that you don't really understand the concept of superhero action films."
"Whatever, Osborn," Felicia snorted. "So, where do we go to eat?"
"We're going to Stan's," Harry declared.
"I've never been," Felicia admitted.
"You've never lived," Harry replied immediately. "Stan makes the best burgers in the city,"
"I'll take your word for it," Felicia replied as the the two started walking. "So, you an expert in burgers?"
"Not really," Harry admitted. "But I have tried a few different places. Still, I like Stan's the best. What about you? You a burger type of girl?"
"I generally prefer healthier foods," Felicia shrugged. "A girl's got to watch her figure, you know."
"I can see that," Harry said, looking her up and down with an exaggerated gaze.
"You seem to like watching my figure," Felicia noted, grinning up at him.
"It's an excellent figure," Harry said defensively.
"Thank you," She sounded undoubtedly please. "I worked hard for it."
"You like to exercise?" He asked, despite already knowing the answer.
"A bit," Felicia smiled. "You?" She asked.
"A bit," Harry nodded. "What martial arts do you do?" He asked.
"A few," Felicia hummed. "I've won the European under sixteen Judo, Karate and Taekwondo tournaments."
"Show off," Harry said jokingly.
"What about you?" She asked. "What martial arts do you know?"
"I've not trained under any specific martial arts," Harry answered honestly. "Though I have been in the odd fight or two and I've got a friend who is trained in quite a few and has been teaching me some stuff."
"A friend, huh?" Felicia asked, raising an eyebrow.
"He's a little old for you," Harry joked. "But yeah, a friend. He's taught me a bit of boxing and a few bits of various martial arts. So, what do you like to do in your free time?"
"Not much," Felicia said in a thoughtful voice. "I practise, go to school, then there's my nightly activities." She added with a grin.
"You're still doing that?" Harry said, not entirely able to hide his disapproval.
"What can I say? I like the thrill," She shrugged. "Don't worry your pretty little head, Osborn, I promise not to try and steal from any of your family and friends."
"Thief's honour, right?" Harry asked with a small sigh. "Anyway, is that it? Exercise, school and stealing?"
"Not much else," She nodded. "What about you? What does the rich prince do in his free time?"
"Not a lot," Harry answered. "I spend a lot of time with Peter and Gwen, we usually just hang around or do science stuff together."
"Like what?" Felicia asked.
"Well, we like to experiment a bit," Harry said with a grin. "Like there was the time with the rocket skates, which went well, note the sarcasm."
"Consider it noted," Felicia replied. "Is that all?"
"Pretty much," Harry nodded. "I'm not that special."
"Is that what you have people believe?" Felicia scoffed. "Nice try but I'm not buying it. There's something different about you, I know it, I've seen it."
"I've never wanted anything but to be normal," Harry said, his voice slightly lower than before.
"To use an overused movie line, 'normal is overrated'," She replied. "You're not normal, neither am I, embrace it. Otherwise you're just going to spend a lifetime wishing for something that can't come true."
"Hmm," Harry hummed, but did not say much. The two walked in complete silence until they reached Stan's. "My lady," Harry said, opening the door for her.
"Thank you," She smiled as she walked in and looked around. "Not bad," She said thoughtfully.
"Hi Stan," Harry called as he entered.
"Ah, Harry," Stan smiled from behind the counter. "How are you doing? Where's the other two?"
"At home, I am here on a date," Harry explained as he stopped next to Felicia. "Stan, meet Felicia." He said, gesturing to Felicia.
"Pleasure to meet you," Stan smiled at her.
"Harry tells me that you make the best burgers in the city," She said in the form of a greeting.
"I don't know about the best," Stan said humbly. "Top five at least," He mumbled to himself under his breath. "Either way, what can I get for the two of you?"
"I'll have my usual," Harry said with a small smile.
"I'll take one of those delicious burgers that Harry was going on about," Felicia decided. "Also some small fries, and a can of Pepsi."
"Got it," Stan nodded. "Take a seat, I'll be with you in a few."
"Prepare to be amazed," Harry told her as he guided her to a nearby booth.
"We'll see," She said doubtfully they both sat down. "Maybe you're right, maybe you'll eat your words."
"Maybe I'll be right when you eat your burger and then you can eat your words as well" Harry replied.
"I doubt that," Felicia replied.
"I stand corrected," Felicia let out a happy sigh as the two continued to walk along the streets of the city, arm in arm. "That was one great burger. Stan is an angel."
"He's the man," Harry agreed. "So far, this is a lot better than my last date."
"I aim to please," Felicia said with a dramatic curtesy. "Still, I'm glad you enjoyed yourself."
"Did you enjoy yourself?" Harry asked hopefully.
"I did," Felicia admitted. "Though I would like to admit that I hope for our next date we do something a bit more exciting than movies and dinner."
"Like what?" Harry frowned.
"I'll surprise you," She said with a mischievous smile. "Anyway, I did enjoy myself, but I got to go now before my mother throws a fit." She added. 'If she even notices,' She mentally thought to herself.
"Cool, do you want me to walk you back?" He asked as they stopped by a street curb.
"That's alright, I've got it," Felicia said, waving down an approaching cab.
"I'll see you soon." Harry told her as the cab slowed down and parked next to them.
"You too," She said before leaning up and planting a small but enjoyable kiss on his lips before she turned around and entered the cab.
"Well...that went well," Harry said to himself once the cab started driving away.
"So, how was your date?" Gwen asked as she, Harry and Peter sat together in Peter's basement. Gwen was sitting at Peter's computer and was typing away.
"Pretty good, all things considered," Harry answered from his position on the ceiling. He was currently upside down with only his feet attached to the ceiling while he replaced the light bulb in the ceiling light. "Try it now," He told Peter.
"Commencing trying." Peter said in a serious voice before he pressed the light switch.
"Voila," Harry said as the light turned on. "There is light," Harry said in a pleased voice.
"Good boy, now don't fall on your ass," Gwen said absently. "Harry, Peter, can you come here?" She called.
"Coming," Harry leapt off the ceiling and landed behind Gwen while Peter took about three seconds to cross the room. "What took you so long?" Harry asked him.
"I've compiled all the reports I could find about Mysterio," Gwen said in a frustrated voice. "But there's not much, he only appears and disappears, and is only seen fighting that wizard guy with the stupid name."
"Oh yeah," Peter snorted. "What was it? Dracon?"
"I've heard worse," Harry shrugged. "Something seems off with Mysterio, besides you know...the obvious, like the fact that he's apparently a wizard."
"Someone seems doubtful," Peter couldn't help but notice.
"He seems off," Harry repeated just before his phone began ringing.
"Two guesses who that'll be," Gwen said under her breath as Harry answered the phone.
"Hey Handsome," Felicia's voice spoke into Harry's ear. "How are you doing?"
"Just fine," Harry replied as he started walking to the other side of the room. "What's up?"
"I was wondering if you'd like to go for another date? Tomorrow, after school?" She asked.
"Doing what?" Harry asked.
"Not telling," She said playfully. "I want to surprise you. So, what'd you say? Are you up for it?"
"Um...yeah, sure," Harry said after a few moments. "Tomorrow, after school." He confirmed.
"Good," She purred. "See you then." She said, before ending the call. Harry shook his head and let out a deep breath before he turned around and saw Gwen and Peter staring at him.
"What?" He asked.
"Another date?" Peter asked with a small grin.
"Looks like it." Harry nodded.
"Nice," Peter smiled just before Gwen slapped him on the arm. "What?"
"Can we please just focus on Mysterio?" Gwen said before turning her attention back to her computer. "Boys," She muttered, shaking her head.
