The morning sun had barely risen over the horizon when Aqua, Wes, and Igor were summoned to the main hall. The air was crisp, filled with the sounds of whirring fugashus and the rustle of leaves. The trio stood in a semi-circle before Mistress Tamar and Lord Yammant, anticipation and curiosity etched on their faces.
"You will be leaving for Narnerin tomorrow, Master Fetaine has sent word that he will be glad to host us" Lord Yammant announced. His voice was steady, filled with the weight of the decision. "Pack your essentials. We will depart tomorrow at dawn."
The boys exchanged glances, a mixture of excitement and anxiety in their eyes. Aqua looked between them, sensing their unease.
As they made their way to the training grounds, Aqua broke the silence. "So, how do you guys feel about this? Travelling with Dominik, I mean."
Wes sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I'm not going to lie; I'm a bit uneasy. I saw the damage he caused. It was... extensive. And if he loses control again... well, I'm not sure how we'll handle it."
Igor, ever the optimist, grinned. "It's an opportunity to train with Master Fetaine. He's one of the most skilled elementals ever. Imagine the skills we'll gain. Besides, we're water elementals. We might be able to help him."
Aqua nodded thoughtfully. "True, but it's still a big risk. We need to be prepared for anything."
Wes shook his head. "When we were kids, Dominik could control all four elements. It was extraordinary. But then, something happened, and he just... vanished. There must be a reason for that. Honestly, his background makes me not so excited about having him be a part of our team."
Aqua's eyes widened in shock. "All four elements? That's impossible."
"I know it sounds crazy, but it's true," Igor chimed in. "He was exceptional. He was a genius, had great control of the elements too until he started acting strange and losing control. You were very young then. But after whatever happened to him, we never saw him again."
Aqua's expression softened. "He doesn't remember ever being here from what you guys are saying. When he first arrived, he introduced himself as class 4, then all of a sudden, he burned down an enormous training hall."
Wes shrugged. "We wondered what happened to him. Now we're about to find out."
Their conversation carried on as they trained, the tension in the air gradually giving way to the familiar camaraderie of shared experiences and mutual goals. They sparred and practiced, their movements fluid and synchronized, a testament to their years of training together.
Wes looked over at Aqua, wiping sweat from his brow. "You know, Aqua, this might be just as dangerous as our last expedition together. Those mutated animals and plants we encountered... they were no joke."
Aqua nodded, a smile tugging at her lips. "I remember. The way you handled that giant Venus flytrap mutant was impressive, Wes. You saved our skins."
Igor chuckled. "And let's not forget the pack of One eyed wolves. I think we made quite a team out there. Who would have thought water elementals could handle fire so well?"
Wes smirked, the seriousness still lingering in his eyes. "Yeah, but those were just animals and plants. Dominik... he's a whole different level. If he loses control, it's not just our lives at risk, but everyone around us."
Aqua placed a reassuring hand on Wes's shoulder. "We'll manage. We've faced danger before, and we've come out stronger. Besides, we're not alone in this. We have each other."
Igor's eyes sparkled with mischief. "And let's not forget, we get to train with Master Fetaine! That's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Think of all the new techniques we could learn."
Wes couldn't help but smile at Igor's enthusiasm. "You always see the bright side, don't you?"
Igor shrugged playfully. "Someone has to. Besides, I believe in us. We've faced worse, and we'll face this too."
As the day drew to a close, Dominik still underground finally woke up. He woke up disoriented, his body aching from the chains that held him. He blinked against the harsh light, struggling to piece together his surroundings.
His grandfather's voice broke through the haze. "How are you doing?"
Dominik responded weakly, "Horribly, how long have I been unconscious?"
His grandfather said, "Three days now, but there have been some new developments while you were unconscious. Dominik, you'll be traveling to Narnerin with me, Master Rika, and three others—Aqua, Wes, and Igor."
Dominik frowned, his memory a blur. "Aqua, Wes, and Igor? They sound familiar."
His grandfather nodded. "Yes, they were part of the training team you were with before you vanished. They'll be your companions on this journey."
Aqua stepped forward, her presence calm but firm. "Dominik, this is Wes and Igor. We've all trained together in the past."
Wes eyed Dominik with a guarded expression. "We're here to help. I hope you're ready for what's ahead."
Igor, trying to lighten the mood, offered a broad smile. "Don't worry too much. We're all in this together. Besides, it's been a while since we trained with you. Should be fun!"
Dominik's eyes darted between Wes and Igor, the awkwardness palpable. "Nice to meet you both. I'm afraid I don't remember much."
Wes gave a curt nod. "We'll see how things go. Just try to keep control."
Igor laughed lightly. "Don't stress, Wes. We're here to support him. It's going to be an adventure!"
Dominik managed a small, tired smile. "I hope you'll take care of me."
Lord Yammant looked pleased, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I'm glad you're getting along. We'll be leaving at dawn tomorrow. We'll use a private Airbus for the journey."
As the group prepared to leave, the sense of camaraderie and purpose grew stronger. They knew the road ahead would be challenging, but together, they felt a flicker of hope. The journey to Narnerin was not just a mission—it was the beginning of a new chapter in their lives, one filled with uncertainty, but also with the promise of growth and discovery.
