Seeing that Claire had agreed, Josh's face lit up with joy. He handed her the gold card and said, "The password is six zeros. Remember it—and don't try any tricks."
"Understood," Claire said, taking the bank card from Josh and putting it in her bag.
As her eyes glanced over Josh, she noticed the excitement on his face, and Claire couldn't help but frown. For some reason, seeing Josh so happy gave her an inexplicable feeling of discomfort. However, she didn't dwell on it. She sent Josh to the door, watching as he got into his car and drove away.
Claire didn't return to the hospital until Josh's car had disappeared from sight. When she pushed open the door to the medical clinic, she saw Alex staring at her with a gloomy expression.
