Unexpectedly, Alex didn't hold it against him and just nodded, indicating for him to take a seat. Louis felt like he had narrowly escaped a disaster and sat down without saying a word.
After a moment, the meeting ended. Alex dismissed everyone, leaving only Louis behind. Louis felt uneasy and avoided eye contact, but Alex didn't give him a chance and asked directly, "Have you found out who she is?"
Louis's body trembled, and he turned his head stiffly, revealing a smile uglier than crying as he said, "It doesn't matter who she is, Mr. Miller."
As soon as he finished speaking, Alex's brows furrowed in displeasure. Seeing this, Louis quickly explained, "Don't forget, you already have a fiancée! If Anna finds out that you're investigating another girl, with her personality, it'll be hard for her not to cause trouble for that girl!"
