„EZEQUIEL! When can we finally meet someone else? I'm so bored right now." Marie started to get annoyed with always doing the same thing everyday for the last few weeks. She needed to finally see something else aside from the inside of their villa.
„Please just wait for another three weeks. I will have conquered my entire world by then and have the strength to go out without fearing for my life."
Marie was obviously unhappy with the answer and started pouting, which looked very cute. Ezequiel couldn't really resist that face but he really didn't want to be challenged by anyone yet. At this moment an idea suddenly came to his mind.
Ezequiel started using Faith Points in a certain way and condensed something right before Marie's eyes. That wasn't the smartest decision though, since whatever Ezequiel wanted to create started with only blood and flesh.
„AAAAHHH WHAT IS THAT?" Marie was traumatized by the sight. At the moment a four-legged something that looked like an anatomy drawing of a dog stood before them. Luckily slowly the skin and fur started to grow and a real husky puppy stood before them. It was still not even the size of a cat and very cute.
It would be very cute if it wasn't for the lifeless look in its eyes. ‚How can I give it life?' Ezequiel didn't really know how the summoning platform created sentient beings but he tried to recreate the process.
As he thought that he really wanted to give the puppy life, something weird happened. The Faith Points started to move in masses towards the puppy's head, where his brain resided. They did something inside his head, and suddenly he came to life.
The puppy looked at the puzzled Ezequiel and the still somewhat scared Marie, before walking towards Ezequiel, seemingly recognizing him as his creator.
‚What happened in the last moment? What exactly needed 5 Million Faith Points to exist?' At the last moment, when the Faith Points rushed towards the puppy's head, Ezequiel actually used up 5 million of them. Of course he could have stopped the process, but he wanted to see what was going to happen.
‚I think that the dog lacked a soul before. Something that every living being needs to exist. But why did it take so many Faith Points to condense the soul? The summoning platform only needs a thousand to create a living being that contains a soul.
‚It seems like there's something special about the soul. Maybe it's a balance mechanism. Otherwise everybody could just produce believers infinitely, ignoring the limits of the summoning platform. With how much it cost to create, even if the dog will be a fanatic believer one day, it would still be a loss of Faith Points to create him.'
‚But the cost doesn't matter for now. I can think about the secrets of the souls later. The only thing important is that Marie is happy with the puppy.'
And luckily she was. After an initial, understandable fear, considering that she literally saw his flesh and organs, she started nearing the dog. After just a few minutes the two started playing together with a lot of energy. It seems like Marie had temporarily forgotten that she desperately wanted to go out a few moments ago.
„By the way, how is your territory developing?" Ezequiel hadn't asked Marie about her believers in a while. He had confidence in her ability and didn't always want to talk about the same thing.
„Well, it's okay, I've conquered about half of the world I would say."
‚Whattt? How is this possible? Even with my own overpowered units I'm still struggling, how is she so successful.'
„My raccoons basically control almost all big organizations and governments from the shadow. It also helped that my world is mostly dominated by beasts. They're pretty dumb and don't really work together."
Beast is a term used for animal-like species that aren't born with intelligence. Expanded could be wild tigers or bears. Dragons and Phoenixes don't count as beasts though, since they are born intelligent.
„Seems like your luck is even better than mine. And I thought having goblins as enemies was already pretty easy. But as long as you're successful, just continue."
In the meantime, Ezequiel had already started cultivating. He did that for about 10 hours a day, which used up almost a hundred million Faith Points, but it wasn't worth it to cultivate longer. With his current speed he would need almost 5 months just to break through to the next minor realm. Even with ten times the normal cultivation speed it was still too slow. His goal was to use only a single year to break through to the Lesser God realm.
For that he would need a hundredfold increase in cultivation speed though. The problem was that the amount of faith points he needed to spend would increase exponentially. If he needed 10 Million to increase his speed by 10 times, then he would need 500 million to increase it by 50 times, and 5 Billion to increase it by a hundred times.
And that was just the cost for a single hour. If he wanted to fulfill his goal then he would need 50 Billion Faith Points a day. It seemed like he would have to settle for 50 times and would need two years to break through. But that was okay for him. He wasn't really in a hurry. He simply wanted to increase his safety a bit.
According to the speed with which his Angeks broke through, they would need about 3 years for the first one to reach the limit of the Sea Expansion Realm. If he broke through to the Lesser God Realm until then, everything would be fine. Because at that points his Angels would need a higher level world to break through, and he planned to give them just that. Of course he could do that even in the Demi-God Realm but it would be a bit embarrassing to own a mid-level world before he even broke through to the second major realm.
He still had at least two years time until then though, so he wouldn't have to rack his brain over this issue until then. For now he just needed to wait. Wait until he finally conquered the first world.
