As his consciousness returned to his body, Ezequiel slowly opened his eyes. And screamed. Marie was right in his face with her own, staring at him intently.
„Finally, you're awake again! You need to help me." Marie said all of a sudden, not even caring about Ezequiel's scream.
„What is it? I will do my best!" Ezequiel meant what he said. After all he would always try his best if it was for Marie. Though now that they had hopes of such a secure future, he would put his own developement first to ensure they can become strong and live without fear. But if he could help her he obviously would.
For now he didn't really have any goals of his own. His only drive in life was to protect his sister, at least until now. Ezequiel had the chance to become the most powerful god in the world. To do that he needed some motivation and goals of his own, but until now he never really had any. He would probably just have to figure them out along the way.
„We need to go to the market! I need the production method for Body Strengthening Powder."
„Why would you need that though? Don't your raccoons know the recipe?"
„Nuh, how would they? According to what I found in the Internet there's a marketplace close here. Supposedly we can buy that there."
Gods have the ability to not only condense materials with the help of faith points, but also finished products. Doing that is more expensive though and you need to know the whole refinement process. Ezequiel left it to his Angels since that was more cost-effective.
‚Seems like other species don't have pill recipes and the structure of spiritual ingredients in their bloodline inheritance. Yet another advantage the Angels have over lower level species. Heck, even a Peak level species like Marie's don't have it.'
This would spare him and his subordinates a lot of effort in the future. Otherwise he would always have to gather different recipes and refinement methods. This way he can simply ask his subordinates. You even needed to know about a materials structure to refine it. This meant that you would usually need at least a single exemplar before being able to create further ones.
For that purpose, there were gods that sold techniques, item-recipes and material structures on the market. There were both single and permanent use items.
„Don't worry! I already have the recipe with me. Also, what would you even use to purchase anything?" Faith Points were the most essential item in the divine realm. This meant that they were also used as a payment method. But since Marie hasn't even been a god for a day, she probably wouldn't have any faith points to spare.
„Thank you, brother!" Marie said with large puppy eyes. Though she was just 12 she knew about the hardships of life and which cards she had to play to get something from Ezequiel.
‚For now I don't really want to go to the market. Though gods are pretty protected inside the divine realm, there is always a certain risk left. If I can avoid going there until I get stronger, then I will do that.'
Talking about getting stronger, Ezequiel would do just that now that he didn't have anything else to do. His Angels were busy with getting stronger and he would have to wait until tomorrow to summon new ones. There was nothing else to do.
To get stronger, he would first have to reach the peak of the Demi-God realm. Cultivating as a god needed divine energy within a minor realm. But to break through a major realm you needed faith points.
Divine Energy was produced by the land inside the divine realm. For that reason the prices of land were extremely high and gods would even kill for areas with a higher concentration of divine energy.
To cultivate inside the Demi-God realm, you needed to absorb divine energy and temper your body and soul. This would increase your consciousness power, soul power and bodily strength. Consciousness power was especially important in the later stages to manage your entire territory within short moments.
According to how far you've tempered your body and soul you will progress through 9 minor stages inside the Demi-God realm.
If you owned a house and territory the size of Ezequiel's, you would need about 100 years to enter the peak of the demi-god realm. That wasn't really feasible for him though.
If he needed a hundred years to break through, his followers would have already conquered the whole universe probably.
Luckily you could also use faith points as a bonus to increase your cultivation speed. Most gods simply weren't willing to spend them for that since they were needed for much more important things. They would eventually reach the peak of the realm anyways. They had no time pressure since most species would need at least a hundred years to conquer their starting world anyways.
So Ezequiel started cultivating. But he stopped just a few minutes later. With his current speed, he estimated he would need about 4 years to break through into the second realm Demi-God.
After thinking for a few seconds he begun to use faith points as well. Instantly his cultivation speed increased by 10 times. The only problem was that he only had enough faith points to keep this speed for a single second. If he used the entire 20000 faith points he gained a day to cultivate, then he would probably last only 12. It seemed like he would not be able to cultivate for the time being.
He simply decided to live his life to the fullest for the first few days or months. Spend time with Marie and do whatever he wanted. He would only care about the developement of his territory for now.
As soon as he had more and stronger Angels, he would then start really cultivating and strive to break through as fast as possible.
For now though, he decided to spend the rest of the day playing with Marie, cooking something and then he went to sleep. Though Demi-Gods didn't need to sleep or eat anymore, Ezequiel didn't really have anything else to do. And just because he didn't need to eat didn't mean he wouldn't enjoy it.
In this way their first day in the divine realm passed. After Ezequiel woke up from the softest bed he ever slept on in his entire life, he instantly sent his consciousness to the lower dimension again.
He was finally able to summon his second pair of Angels.
