Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 - Model gig

The two talked throughout the night. They got to know each other. He was from France, but lived here in Monaco. He said he was very busy due to his work schedule and that this was his first night out in a while. Charlotte told him she could relate and that this was also her first night out in a while, due to school keeping her busy.

Minutes turned into hours, and the two found peace in each other's company. Charlotte told him she attended fashion school in Nice, and how stressful it was, and Theo told her he was a driver for a Formula two Team, whatever that meant.

It was a Saturday so it didn't really matter if Charlotte stayed out till late, since she didn't have school the next morning. Or most students at fashion school couldn't actually spend their weekends freely like Charlotte. They would probably have to spend every hour of the day planing for the event. Finish their clothes, do touch ups, make changes etc. Charlotte on the other hand, was done, she was confident that her project was complete. The only thing missing, was the model. Which she still didn't have a solution for.

The two continued chatting while sipping on drinks, regardless to Charlotte hesitating to a single beverage earlier. Theo insisted that it was on him and that he wanted her to let loose after her cries from before.

After one too many drinks, Theo had worked up the courage to ask if Charlotte wanted to talk about why she was crying. He wondered if there was anything he could do to help. Or if he could be off great emotional support. But he didn't push her to say anything, only if she wanted to, of course. Gosh he really was such a sweet guy, Charlotte thought multiple times throughout the night.

"So the thing that made me so upset earlier, and what I'm still upset about, is this huge event we have at school", she started.

She continued explaining, how she had created these beautiful pieces but there was of no use if she didn't have a model. After she was done telling the whole story, Theo's face lit up.

"I might have an idea" he beamed.

"Go on", Charlotte hesitated.

"What if I model for you?" He proposed.

"I have plenty of experience both with cameras and modelling!" he continued.

"You have experience?" Marie asked skeptically.

"Yea, plenty! My job requires that every Thursday before a race weekend, we have a media day. Where we get interviewed and people take lots of photos of us. Additionally throughout the weekends people take lots of photos of us all the time. So I'm very familiar with cameras", he explained.

"And due to brand deals with the team, I have to do photoshoots every now and then. So yeah, I would say I'm quite experienced with cameras and modelling". Charlotte looked at him, still skeptically.

"Not to mention, I'm tall, and quite handsome if I do say so myself", that Charlotte couldn't argue with.

"Well if you are as experienced as you say, then you would be a perfect candidate. However, I couldn't possibly ask you to do such a favour for me", she hesitated.

"And you're so busy, you don't have time for this" she pointed out.

"Which day did you say it was?" he questioned.

"The upcoming Friday, so exactly 6 days from today"

"Well isn't that perfect! That weekend isn't a race weekend, so I'm going to be free!"

"But still, this is too much, you're too kind-" she couldn't even finish her sentence before Theo started his.

"Think of this as a kind gesture from a friend. I insist", from the last couple of hours Charlotte had spent with Theo, she realised that he was quite stubborn. And if he said the two words, I and insist, then there was no way of convincing him otherwise.

"Fine! But then I owe you one" she promised.

"Sure, then it's settled".

"Fine" she sighted in defeat.

"Perfect", a wide smile was painted on his face, showing his dimples.

"Wait you said you had experience with cameras and modelling, but you never said you had walked on a runway before. You do realise you have to walk on a cat walk, do you know how to walk?"

"About that. I don't quite have experience in that field, but how hard could it be? Send me your timetable for next week, and I'll see you when I have time. Then you can teach me. How does that sound?" A laugh escaped her mouth. He didn't have any experience walking on a runway, yet he voluntarily offered to do it in front of celebrities and huge brands for a girl he had just met. What an interesting guy, Charlotte thought to herself.

That would be amazing, thank you", she smiled.

"Great! Give me your number so you can send me your time table when you have it". After exchanging contact informations their evening soon came to an end, due to it getting late.

-

Theo walked briskly down the bustling city street, the summer sun warming his back as he sipped on his strawberry smoothie. It had been a few days since his encounter with the brunette He could feel the butterflies in his stomach fluttering wildly, a mixture of excitement and nervousness as he thought about the model walk practice ahead. He had never walked on a real cat walk before, would he mess it up? However he didn't let his doubts get to him. He was doing this for Marie, and that kept him going, even outside of his comfort zone.

Theo remembered the evening they had spent together, how she had effortlessly commanded his attention with her presence. As he walked, he couldn't help but replay their interaction in his mind, a cherished memory.

Before he could think much more, he came to a halt. The looked up at the building in front of him and realised this was the building Marie had sent him pictures of. Theo took a deep breath as he approached the building. The glass doors reflected his anxious expression, but he straightened his posture, reminding himself of the girl he was doing this for.

There she was, standing at the front of the room, her long hair cascading over her shoulders. Marie looked up and spotted him, her face breaking into a radiant smile. "Hey, Theo! Excited for today?" she called out, her voice filled with warmth.

Liam's heart skipped a beat. "Yeah, absolutely," he replied, trying to sound as casual as possible.

Her guidance was impeccable, her movements fluid and precise. She offered tips and corrections. Theo admired her, his admiration growing with every passing moment.

As the lesson drew to a close, Emma gathered everyone for a final round of feedback and encouragement. Liam watched her, his mind racing with thoughts of how he could express his feelings. The students began to disperse, chatting excitedly about their progress, but Liam lingered, gathering his courage.

Emma approached him, a curious look in her eyes. "You did great today, Liam. Your walk is really improving," she said, her smile making his knees feel weak.

"Thanks, Emma," he replied, feeling the words stick in his throat. "I, uh, actually wanted to tell you something."

She tilted her head, her expression encouraging. "What's on your mind?"

Liam took a deep breath, clutching the now-empty smoothie cup in his hand like a lifeline. "I know this might sound a bit out of the blue, but I really like you. Not just as my instructor, but... more than that."

Emma's eyes widened in surprise, and for a moment, Liam feared the worst. But then, a slow smile spread across her face, and she stepped closer. "Liam, that's the sweetest thing I've heard in a long time," she said softly. "I like you too."

His heart soared, the nervous tension melting away. "Really?" he asked, unable to hide his grin.

"Really," she confirmed, her cheeks flushing slightly. "How about we grab a smoothie together sometime? You can tell me more about this crush of yours."

Liam's smile widened. "I'd love that," he said, feeling as if he were walking on air. As they walked out of the studio together, he realized that sometimes, taking a chance could lead to the most unexpected and wonderful moments.
