Lih Xiao was startled and then blushed instantaneously across her cheeks.
"Shen Yuan, what nonsense are you talking about?" Lih Xiao chastised sweetly.
"How am I talking nonsense?"
Righteously, Shen Yuan declared, "Teaching and nurturing, that's the basic code of conduct for a teacher. Teacher Lih, you haven't forgotten the simplest of teaching ethics, have you?"
Shen Yuan always managed to twist right and wrong, distorting the meaning of words, yet Lih Xiao had no room to retort.
Lih Xiao puffed up her pink cheeks: "You're doing it on purpose, you clearly don't mean that."
With a teasing glance, Shen Yuan asked her, "Then what do you think I mean?"
"I don't know."
Lih Xiao turned her blushing face away, refusing to look at him.
"You know, Teacher Lih."
