Chapter Seven: John.
The next coming came with a different face,and a coloured appearance because it would mark the escalations of my decisive powers.
I wasn't happy with the way things were going in my empire. I saw that things would never work out fine,until I take drastic measures and so, before I commence any further activities as regards to the success of the empire,I need to change and restructure the management bodies.
That week,I purposely skipped work on Monday,and finally appeared on Tuesday morning,with the intention of surprising everyone in the empire.
At exactly 8:30am,everyone was already in their various departments working and executing various functions,as demanded by the managing firms.
I went to each department by myself along with some of my bodyguards,to drop a letter of demotion and promotions on some workers' desks. After this,I announced through my general Secretarythat work should be kept on mute for three hours until I'm done with my intentions for the day.
My new actions brought surprise to everyone. It was just a new development to restructure the powers of my empire but unfortunately,it affected all the Head of departments,and the three sitting managers. I removed everything from the office,and installed new ones based on merit.
I discovered that the previous management bodies were not serious with their jobs and also,they were never given such high promotions because they merited it. It came to them on a platter of gold,based on the ground of mal-practices.
Jerry,Armstrong,and Mr.Stone,are the three managers of the empire. I met with them last week,to know who exactly was the empire handed over to by my late father,and they pointed fingers at barrister.Gideon.
Barrister Gudeon in turn,who is the head of the biggest chamber in California,doesn't seem to have time to look deeply into the affairs of the empire and this was why he basically advised my late father to have three managers who would look into the administration. I may not have problems with barrister Gideon' but I do have,with the three managers who don't seem to give a damn of what was going on in the empire.
However,barrister Gideon is not the only barrister that is aligned to our company. My father, before he died,got three other barristers involved in the empire's affairs.
In essence,I was told that all our four lawyers were not necessarily involved in the executive affairs of the empire,only the three managers. So for me to get the empire back to its glorious days,I have to distance myself from the current executives and work with new ones.
Thousands of workers arraigned themselves in the empire's hall,to witness the next line of actions.
"I thank each and everyone of you who have been working here with us for quite some time. I know that it hasn't been that easy because the empire is currently in its black ages.An age that will determine the strength and future of our happiness here.
For this reason,I therefore dissolve the current managements of this empire,for some strategic reasons"
I was informed all through my speech in the hall. Thousands of workers were greatly happy,as many of them began to shout for joy.
However,their joy escalated when my general Secretary started to call out the names of the new management. The whole hall screamed and fumed with joy, when my secretary Mrs Lawrence herselfwas made the manager of the empire. She was greatly loved by all due to her professional and personal characteristics. Yes,I chose just one manager. There is no need to have three managers serving the company. She would be responsible to oversee the affairs of all the H.O.Ds in the empire.
But I observed that some dudes are not happy. I just observed so,Andi knows why. However,I don't give a damn.
The same day that the former manager handed over power and other relevant documents to the new ones,I ordered the new management body to sanction four of our customers,who have been into fraudulent practices.
Unfortunately,Clara, my ex-wife,and her father's best friend and business partner,were affected.
These two dudesare not legitimate and it's a big risk for the empire to continue doing business with them. Since I came into the empire,I have searched and screened the various documents of many of our clients, through the help of Mrs.Lawrence who is now the new manager. The results were not actually encouraging because most of our clients seem to be toying with the empire in terms of business and as such,has greatly affected the integrity of the business. I don't blame them beci they were accommodated by the previous management.
And as for Clara and her father's best friend,I knew that something was fishy but I haven't been privileged to see to what extent of their relationship.
Meanwhile the next day,I came to the office,and saw that the mood of the previous management officials had changed. My actions threatened their plans but from the look out of things,they don't plan to resign from the empire anytime soon.
The uprisings were many because many clients after they heard of the recent change of power in the empire through the radio and other social-media channels, began to troop in to exchange words with the past executives. While many new clientskeep coming into the empire,to do business with us.
I was just in my office being busy with some files, when my new secretary lady Vera knocked and told me that some people were waiting to have conversations with me.
I was happy because I thought it was some sort of serious dude who came in to make inquiries about our products.
I hurriedly left my office to answer them because I want to leave all my clients satisfied, and to serve as a good example of 'leadership by example to my new management.
I went to where I was being needed,and was surprised to see Clara and her father's best friend standing with anger on their faces.
