Serena looked up from her papers, handing the file to her assistant with a sigh. "Mahi, prepare this gift for Ava. Her engagement is tomorrow, is it not?"
Mahi glanced down at the file she'd just been given, her eyes widening as she absorbed its contents. "Are you certain you want to go through with this? This might stir up some new rumors, especially with those who already believe you're still coveting Sidney. If you make this move, you'll only give them more to talk about."
Serena's expression was cool and indifferent as she shrugged. "Let them talk. Sidney thinks he can keep one foot in each of two boats, does he? Well, let's see what happens when one of them starts to sink."
