As Serena stepped out of the lawyer's office, she wasn't expecting to see Sidney still lingering by the entrance. She came to a halt, crossing her arms with a dramatic sigh before rolling her eyes at him. "Seriously? Are you like a piece of chewing gum stuck to my shoe? Why are you still here? What do I have to do to get rid of you?"
Sidney, unfazed by her sharp tone, offered her a calm smile. "Well, for starters, you could stop trying so hard to shake me off." He gestured toward his car, parked nearby, and moved to open the passenger door for her with a practiced, almost chivalrous ease. "I'm just trying to make this as easy as possible for everyone, Serena. Including you."
