Serena was in shock. You'd think she'd be getting used to these surprises by now, but each new revelation left her just as stunned as the last. After seeing her work in the car last night, Aiden had handed her a large box filled with files, asking her to sort through them and make remarks. It was supposed to help her gauge what she knew and and how well. And now, she sat in his home office, nervously watching like a school girl in the teacher's office, as he went through the documents with an unreadable expression.
She didn't know how she'd been able to understand the business so well, but her brain had proviced her answers to everything on its own. It was almost as if her brain was functioning on muscle memory.
