The government troops, all at the Body Refinement Realm and armed with fine steel knives, fought against the bandits who, despite facing an elite force, dared to fight back fiercely, showing no signs of retreat as blood splattered intermittently.
At the very center of the battlefield stood a fortress leader, garbed in a long robe and wielding a broad blade. He was locked in combat with a woman dressed in an Inspectorate's flying fish robe. The clash of their weapons sent ripples through the air, the intensity of their fight deterring anyone from coming too close within several meters, leaving them to only watch from afar.
