Boom!
Lind turned his head to look in the direction of the church.
Ever since he left, the place hadn't quieted down completely, with the occasional mushroom cloud.
He was starting to regret whether letting the Undead and Tione stay together was the right decision; the Undead wouldn't learn to behave.
But sacrificing them to keep Tione in check was necessary, as the battle for the Royal City had reached its final stage.
The number of mutated, frenzied Old Nobility found within the Royal City was astonishing, but Lind chose to neglect them as a whole. If the Undead were interested, he would let them handle it themselves, even offering generous rewards for it.
When Lania ascended the throne, like himself, many of the nobles left the Royal City. Not all nobles lived within the Royal City. They had their own fiefs and could go back to continue being lords.
