The fog surged overnight, so thick it seemed like a white, blurry curtain.
The entire city was shrouded, the ghostly outlines of skyscrapers, the decayed streets, the ruin-like buildings all covered by this white veil.
Looking out from the Tree Domain Camp, outside the range of the Radiance of the Lamp Tree's light, the fog formed a stark boundary against the brightness, like an inverted white dome placed over the camp.
Inside it, the light was bright and clear, the buildings stood orderly as they had before the apocalypse.
Outside, there was nothing but a chilling expanse of white.
