Although the school's small lake area was still in the grips of an icy winter, with the stunning northern scenery blanketed in rime and snow, the scene was quite lively at the Mobile Base Vehicle by the lakeside. The aroma of barbecue meats and exotic spices filled the air, mingled with music, laughter, shouts, and various expressions of carefree abandon. Amidst the vast snowy landscape, the bone-chilling cold of negative ten degrees Celsius was hardly noticeable.
University gatherings did happen, but not in abundance, as students' primary task was to focus on their studies—especially during the cold winter, when everyone stayed in warmly heated rooms and hardly ventured outside. Therefore, gathering people together proved even more challenging.
However, the allure of free barbecue, an open bar with beverages, and a massive vehicle the likes of which had never been seen before, provided ample reason to draw a crowd.
